The cork needs to be doubled to use as a bulletin board. But I wanted material that could muffle sound on a metal apartment door that opened into a hallway with a Yorkie dog barking. Time will tell how effective it is. I used double sided tape to put the cork on the door. Hope it will last; then Weldwood contact cement to double the cork. It was labor intensive. ... show more

    • Good Product. Terrible Outside Wrapping
The corkboard itself is great. HOWEVER, the extreme frustration of trying to remove the shrink wrap it was encased in will be remember for years. Took 2 adults more than 2 hours to remove the shrink wrap without damaging the corkboard.

    • Treat it right and it will work for you.
Cork by nature is dry. It comes rolled so just unroll it slowly, a little at a time, mist with water and weigh it down. It is thin so it easier to tear than the 1/4". Difficult to cut a real straight edge but then again that is the nature of cork. Worked for my projects.

    • Really, a delivery signature??
I needed backing for a few large maps and this product would accommodate their size. I understand the need to provide the cork in a roll, however unrolling it was a challenge and it cracked in several places. While that was a little frustrating, my biggest challenge was the vendor requiring a delivery signature, which I wasn't aware of until UPS attempted delivery. A lot of my time was eaten up on the phone and visiting UPS to get this product. An option to opt out of the signature would have been nice. ... show more
