The media could not be loaded. The flagpole came with the home, bought in 2016 but originally built in the early 90's. I have no idea how long the halyard that was in place was there before I moved in, but it was definitely not new at the time. Fast forward to summer 2021, as I was putting up a fresh new flag ahead of Independence Day, and thought, this creaky, dried, yellowing rope is who knows how old and though functional, could use replacing. So I jumped online and ordered this disappoinent. It was all well and good, easy to install and with generous extra length I could trim to suit, seemed soft and sturdy and looked fresh and bright. But it did not last. It's now fall 2022 and the thing is practically disentgrating off the pole. It is fraying and splitting even in places without clips or knots which might cause friction damage; I have included photos that show my yard around the base of flagpole has large chunks of braid that have frayed and fallen away from the rope. For context, I live in the mild if wet Pacific Northwest climate, however the bulk of this halyard's run has been one of our warmest, driest winters in recent history. I'm disappointed I need to replace it again so soon, and almost wish I had kept the old one which was much sturdier despite it's age. As always, treat your cordage. Wash it in "wet" water, that is with vinegar then, rinse and soak in fabric softener. (I prefer Downey) it's wax that strengthen, protects and lubricants the fibers. Most sailors, I'm pretty sure, do the same with their "sheets" aboard their sailboats,vessels. I do.

I ordered this Flag Rope 50 Feet Flag Pole Halyard Rope and Clips Kit 4 Pieces Nylon Flag Pole Hook Clip from the seller ROOTAPick and it arrived with no issues thanks to Amazon Prime. Obviously I needed some rope to hang a flag and this did the trick. I currently only have the one flag, but if I want to fly say my college flag or something, this did come with two extra clips so I can do that. Everything about it seems just as strong as it needs to be and it isn't too stretchy as some ropes are. Worked just fine as I expected. Would order again if I had a need for more, but I probably won't. ... show more

I have a 25ft flag pole and I did have to trim the rope some. I have had it up for about a month, so far so good. I did not use the plastic clips it came with I have metal ones.
