  • Fit like a second skin. All the features I wanted.
Color: Dark Olive/Black Size: 30-31
These pants came in a raw length (think 36-38" inseam) which is a major factor for me buying them. I hemmed them myself at approximately a 34" length. I am 6'0" and 160lbs and a 32' inseam rides up and over the tongue of my hiking boots when I am hiking. This allows dirt and rocks to get into the boots. A 30x34" pant with all the features these pants provide are impossible to find. All the pockets are in the right spots. They hold all of my EDC pocket litter and don't dig into my legs anywhere. I stopped using butt pockets about 3 years ago and never looked back. These fit perfectly even without a belt and, due to the articulation in the knees and butt, fit like a glove without any pulling at the crotch with high leg movement. I got these on a flash sale for $70 and will be keeping my eye out for more. $150 is too expensive for me, but I'll be watching to see how long they last. If I get more than a year or two out of them of hard use, then the price will be worth it. I have worn them in the high 70s for temps with no ill effects. They don't feel hot. ... show more

  • The perfect trousers for tall men
These are perfect trousers for tall men! The Barents Pro model has what’s known as a “Raw Length”. Meaning they are left un-hemmed at the bottoms intentionally. I am 6’ 8” and it is extremely challenging to find pants long enough. These have become the best fitting pants I own. Not only are they long enough, but they are cut a little tighter through the thigh. Being an ectomorph body type (think tall and lean) , I swim in most pants. The first time my wife saw me in these, she told me she could finally see that I had leg muscles in a pair of pants and I needed to purchase more. I am about to purchase my fifth pair. They are a bit pricey, but extremely well built. I use them for some low-to-mid level outdoorsman type activities and they are awesome. From all the pockets, to the opening for knee pads they are Fantastic! ... show more

  • Good pants but not the hydratic version as claimed in the title.
Color: Black/Black Size: 52
Two models of Barents Pro trousers exist. (1) Barents Pro Trousers (2) Barents Pro Hydratic Trousers The hydratic model has an inner membrane. The pair I received does not. The title for this listing is: "Fjallraven Men's Barents Pro Hydratic Trousers". The description seems to be for non-hydratics, I don't know. Being my first pair of Fjallraven pants, I wasn't sure which I'd get. I received non-hydratics. They're good tough pants with useful pockets and I would have purchased them anyway. I would probably even have preferred non-hydratics because they should breath a little better. My only problem with the pants is that they are not "Barents Pro Hydratic Trousers" as named in the title. They are "Barents Pro Trousers". So they are good pants, just don't expect them to be what they claim to be. ... show more

  • Knee a little long; bullet-proof pants
Overall fit is "as expected". However, as other reviews also noted, the location of the knee bend sewn into the pant leg is just a little too low, even when kneeling. Pants do not come hemmed, which is okay, as long as you know that ahead of time, which I did. They are VERY nice. I have worn them in the field a few times now, have washed them in the washing machine, and they look and feel very great. That is a relief considering how expensive they are! These are my new favorites. ... show more

  • Great pants, worth the purchase.
These are amazing pants. They fit great and allow you movement. They are water resistant and in general are just great for woodcraft wear.. They are difficult to size, You need to get a good measure of your waist they match it to the size chart. Unless you are amazingly tall you will need to have them hemmed. A little extra effort but the trousers are worth it. ... show more

  • The hype is justified
I was sceptical of these high priced trekking pants but finally pulled the trigger based on all the positive reviews and I can say without a doubt the hype is real, awesome outdoors trousers, sturdy, water resistant and they look good to. Will be looking to buy a second pair soon. Buy with confidence. Only slight negative is pant length is one size and it's max length so expect to Taylor them. I'm 6' 180 and size 50 fits at the waist perfect. Great overall purchase for trekking, hiking, backpacking, and outdoor enthusiasts! ... show more

  • For people that are tall
Color: Black/Black Size: 48 L
It would have been an amazing hiking / traveling pants, the only draw back is , unless you are above 6 feet tall , it will not work , even if you get it hemmed
