  • Pleasantly surprised with the results this shoe has had on my climbing
These shoes are an amazing surprise. I mainly got them b/c of the price as my specific size had a good percentage off the original price. I have been climbing for four years and I am a female who wears a size 7.5 in street size. Supposedly the men and women's shoes differ by a 1.5 sizes. So that would put me at a six but I like my shoes to fit precisely so I got a size five as all my five tens have been size five. I have used the tans and had two pairs of gallileos. I also used Evolv bandits in the past buying a couple of those. I am very surprised at how well they fit considering this is purchased by a lot of men. I have a high-ish arches and relatively narrow feet. I get compliments on my feet because they are feminine looking and small-ish for my height. Everything fits perfectly even the heel. The gallileos ran too wide for me but I still loved them and they worked for me. I am used to a more stiff shoe but the sensitivity and precision of these shoes as well as the great fit has literally improved my climbing by a quarter of a grade. I can't stand on smaller holds with less defined edges as well as the Gallileos but I am climbing overhang and working technical routes with harder moves than I am used to so for me it's well worth the tradeoff. I just finished my first five twelve a climb, some say it's a five twelve b. I realized the stiffer shoe makes me feet and lowers legs feel less beat up from a session but they were making me weak in some ways. This shoe really has me working the toe down maneuver like I never have before. Also easier to do heel hooks with a less stiff shoe in my opinion. I am using the purplish version by the way and people compliment the color. Most people i know in the gym use la sportivas so i like being the only one in the group not to have those. ... show more

  • Awesome shoes... If you like 5.10 (I do)
These shoes are awesome. I recently upgraded from a set of 5.10 Rogues that served me well and the Anasazi's are significantly better. That said, they fit like 5.10's, so the toe box is a bit wide. These are better at heal hooking than my Rogues (though no great), edge well and have epic grip on slab. Took me a few trips to the gym to break them in, but I am now in love with these shoes. I would not recommend them if you do a ton of overhanging bouldering, a more aggressive toe will serve you better there. But if you're looking for a well performing shoe that will be comfortable for long days at the crag, then you've found it. Update: I've just purchased my second pair of Anasazi's. The first pair served me well, but I purchased them a bit large. Do not expect to get much stretch out of these shoes, but after 6-8 months of climbing several times a week, they are definitely softer. This means that the shoe can tend to twist around your foot on small holds. I purchased a size down this time and am extremely happy with the results. I'm looking forward to using these for quite some time. ... show more

  • Beware! Fit has changed.
I bought my first pair of these back in 2004. After first buying US 7 I decided they were a bit too tight so sized my next pair up by half a size (to US 7.5) and they were perfect. The 7.5 was always a little uncomfortable out of the box, but once broken in, were perfect (thats why I have been wearing them for over 10 years now!).This is how I have been buying, and then replacing them since then. Now the 7.5 is too roomy??? ARGHHH!!! To the people at 5.10., Please don't change things. It does not impress your long term loyal customers when you shift the goal posts like this! Please keep your sizing consistent and you will continue to have my custom long into the future as these are great shoes! ... show more

  • Recommend for anyone needing a solid shoe and wants to ...
Tremendous fan of the Anasazi Verdes, but with those no longer being made these are about as close to the secure, no frills shoe, but there is a little less sensitivity owed I believe to thicker rubber. Recommend for anyone needing a solid shoe and wants to train the foot to pull in rather than rely on aggressive and cramped shoes. Fair warning on sizing, though, is the anasazi tag has cut into my ankle if improperly sized. ... show more

  • Best shoes ever!
Born in five tens and going to die in them. Great shoes I had several laced five tens and tried these Velcro and it's faster to put on and off in between crags. I'm a size 8 street and 7/7.5 in rock shoes. I got size 7 (thinking of they were way to small Amazon prime return them for a bigger shoe) and it fit as I expected them too. Tight in the toe box and toes start to hurt after 40 mins in them brand new. As I climb they've stretched a bit and less hurtful. So over all they stretch a bit especially after a few resoles ... show more

  • The heel fits amazing though, and the rubber is very very sticky
I wear a 10.5 street shoe. I checked the size chart on the company website and measured out to an exact 10.5. Way way too small. I went a full size up to an 11.5, and they are barely too small, but I suspect will stretch a bit. I would go at least a full size up if you want these. The straps are also almost a little too long. The heel fits amazing though, and the rubber is very very sticky. ... show more

  • Great shoe with a great fit and grab.
Bought these as my first climbing shoe and they have been great. Fit was just snug enough to make sure my foot doesn't move while climbing but not super uncomfortable to be unbearable. Climbing shoes are really made for long periods of time of use but I expect they will stretch out a bit and get a little more comfortable. Great toe and heel rubber, very sturdy. The price was great too. I really didn't care what color I got, just wanted the Anasazi's and why pay a ton more just because of the color. Overall, highly suggested. ... show more

  • Nice
As good as usual for 5.10 shoes - which means they are the best (for me at least). About half a size larger than expected. I usually get 1 size smaller climbing shoes compared to street shoes - for these I should have chosen 1.5 smaller. Otherwise nice - perfect format for my foot. Good rubber. Good all-round climbing shoes. Recommended. ... show more
