  • Solid durable MTB shoes.
Size: 9.5 Color: Solid Grey/Grey/Acid Mint
I am just getting into mountain biking again after taking many years off post a major wipe out and injury. I bought a high end bike and helmet to help keep me upright. A friend that is an expert MTB rider recommended Five Ten to me of I was going without clips. While I think I want to clip in again someday, I am just not ready so I bought some big Raceface pedals with big pins and hoped this shoe would give me solid grip and support. I am about 100 miles in now and they really do work. I didn't realize Five Ten was Adidas MTB brand until I saw the box. Like most of my Adidas in the past, these shoes are outstanding. I never find my feet moving on the pedals unless I want them to. The rubber sole here is thick and sticky. It just grabs the pins and holds right where you plant down. These are an easy recommendation for any MTB rider at any level in my opinion. The fit perfectly though they look small. They aren't. Buy whatever you wear in an athletic shoe. If in between, size up. ... show more

  • Solid MTB shoes
Size: 13 Color: Dgh Solid Grey/Grey Five/Cloud White
To start, these shoes are well put together. The materials don’t feel cheap, visible seams look like they will hold up well. I just received these so I don’t have any miles on them as of now, but I do have picky feet and wanted to share my thoughts. I have no doubt these will hold up against wear and tear. The rubber on the sole is TACKY which I do love coming from riding in regular Vans shoes. I tested them out on my DMR pedals and your feet aren’t going anywhere, so if you do like some play, these may not be your style. That being said, I have extremely long, flat, and narrow feet so I typically don’t have too many issues with shoes unless they do too much worry around the arches - typically I just have my own inserts in all my shoes. These are the perfect amount of comfort and performance that I’m looking for. They are very flat but ride high enough around the ankle to feel secure - they have great inner arch support so as to keep your ankles from rolling inwards but not too much where you feel like you’re pushed opposite to the outside of the shoe. Having a narrow foot, I can usually tell that if it’s snug, the shoe runs narrow - this is not the case, I do have some extra room side to side (not so much where it’s a problem, it’s actually comfortable) so my wide footed people, you should be just fine unless you already get special wide shoes, then it’s probably a toss up. Truthfully these ride like a beefed up skate shoe in terms of fit and feel, but are much stiffer, for obvious reasons. Not too stiff as to making some inevitable hiking with the bike miserable, I’m sure. All around, definitely worth the money! I went with the yellow because it saves $20+ and truthfully these things are going to be brown in a couple of rides anyways, so I’ll take my savings even though I really don’t like yellow. That being said, the style of it still looks badass even though I don’t like the color way, so I truly don’t thing you’ll be disappointed. All in all, these are WELL WORTH the extra you pay from some more basic model shoes (~$80 range like the Giros and RC shoes). Thrilled I spent more for the type of craftsmanship and attention to detail these shoes have. If you read my novel to this point, you’re heavily interested and I say just send ‘er bud! You won’t regret. ... show more

  • Very Comfortable Bike Shoes
Size: 12.5 Color: Black/Black/White
Right out of the box, these shoes were comfortable and plenty of room for my toes. The toe box is adequate for a wide foot, which I have. I had another pair of Freeriders, in size 12, (which is my normal size), but my feet were cramped. I went up a 1/2 size and problem solved. The quality is very good for a bike shoe. The soles are a bit stiff, which you want for fat pedaling, so long walks would not be as comfortable as normal shoes. Overll, very satisfied. ... show more

  • 5/10 is the best and you know that
Size: 11 Color: Solid Grey/Grey/Acid Mint
For years I heard that 5/10 is the best by far, but when i had LEAT DBX - I couldn't imagine by how much the 5/10 is superior and the difference is huuuuge. Freerider Pro is a perfect shoe for me: it's form is long enough, not wide - so it grips the whole feet, which you really want, because the mass and impacts goes well distributed. In LEAT for example you have a really wide shoe so all the impacts go into your nails, yes yes - i had(and still have) blood under nails from riding technical trails in LEAT. Freerider Pro, you must take a bit bigger size(i am 45, so i took 45 2/3, fits perfect). It's water resistant so its good and not perfect for hot weather because you are sealed with no ventilation at all, and if you do 5-7 hours in them....vent your legs from time to time :) The Grip is phenomenal, actually I forgot that there is a grip problems that people are struggling and talking....with 5/10 you just have always grip and comfort. ... show more

  • Great mountain biking shoes
Size: 9 Color: Black/Black/White
So I’m totally impressed with these shoes. I feel like they lock on to my pedals exceptionally, which is what I was looking for. Very grippy! They are stiff which is good for mountain biking, but not as good for walking around. But all & all I’m pleased with this purchase.

  • Size 13 too small
Size: 13 Color: Dgh Solid Grey/Grey Three/Acid Mint
I have worn size 13 shoes for about 30 years. These are like a 12 or 12.5. Even without socks they are too tight. I ordered a size 14 and I’m hoping they will fit when delivered next week. Quality of the shoe feels great. New shoes in the middle of my current size 13 shoes.
