Feels so nice against the skin but so very delicate, because silk is silk. I ripped one too fast as I have to wash them frequently due to my oily skin. Maybe handwashing would've been a better choice, but I have a couple eucalyptus silk pillowcases that are ok and hold up much better in the wash. I've been using these pure silk pillowcases for about 9-10 months and I like them quite a bit. They are a bit long for my standard size pillow, but are very comfortable on my face and ears (side-sleeper), and have held up well. I find them to be cool in the summer and warm in winter. They are always wrinkled, but that doesn't bother me at all. Instead of hand-washing, I've started washing them in a mesh bag in the washing machine, and I hang them to dry on the indoor clothesline. So far I have not noticed any problem with this. The rose color is very pretty, and looks good with my quilt and other bedding. If/when these wear out, I would happily buy more, so I hope they are available for a long time. I bought them for myself, but they do come nicely packaged for gift-giving. ... show more

This is the perfect pillow case. I did my research on the brand. I took the advice of another reviewer and hand wash it in baby wash and throw it in the dryer just for a few minutes. It comes out perfect everytime.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I was very impressed with this silk pillowcase. I was looking for a silk case in the envelope style (no zipper) and ordered the standard size in white. It arrived quickly and nicely packaged. The case itself was displayed inside a useful mesh lingerie bag for washing which I greatly appreciated. The case is well made and generously sized. I’ve waited several months to write this review so I could experience the product first. I purchased the pillow case in the “Natural White” color. The reason I decided to purchase a silk pillow case was for taking better care of my hair and to prevent it getting “roughed up” at night like on my cotton pillow cases. I liked the pillow case at first but after a few months it began to look very worn out and dingy. I also noticed a small hole in one of the corners - - Before purchasing I read other comments/reviews that said the pillow case can withstand being machine washed. I washed the pillow case 1x a week in the machine - cold water, gentle cycle, also placing it in a garment bag. I always let it air dry. I took very good care of it and it’s not like I was throwing it around or putting my dirty head/face all over it. I live by myself and thus not sharing the pillows with anyone or any pets. Anyway, it ended up getting chucked after a few months because it didn’t look nice. Maybe it helped with keeping my hair nicer when I slept (the original hope), but not worth it to me.
