I was going to return this item because it was not a pure white, but I decided to keep the pillowcase because of the hassle of returning it. IHowever, the pillowcase is soft, silky and does not wrinkle. I love sleeping on it and the "raw white" or off-white does not bother me anymore.

I love this silk pillowcase! It definitely helps my hair hold a style longer. Also, sleeping hard no longer results in imprints of pillowcase wrinkles when I wake up! The envelope style is very easy to put on. It comes in so many pretty colors and with its own mesh bag for laundering. I splurged on one pillow case to try after seeing cheaper ones that I knew wouldn’t work out (didn’t look like silk, rough, transparent). This is thicker quality, though not completely opaque (I got the white color) but it’s good. I never used a silk pillowcase before but I got tired of waking up w a warm head, damp hair and knots and worse, crazy cowlick patches. This morning - none of the above!! It is crazy. I’m not yet used to the slippery-ness and the texture but to extend my expensive salon appointments or early morning meetings, this is going to come in handy.
