This is the perfect pillow case. I did my research on the brand. I took the advice of another reviewer and hand wash it in baby wash and throw it in the dryer just for a few minutes. It comes out perfect everytime.

Feels so nice against the skin but so very delicate, because silk is silk. I ripped one too fast as I have to wash them frequently due to my oily skin. Maybe handwashing would've been a better choice, but I have a couple eucalyptus silk pillowcases that are ok and hold up much better in the wash. If I find time for hand washing things, I'd definitely return to Fisher's Finery for more pillowcases. ... show more

I’ve waited several months to write this review so I could experience the product first. I purchased the pillow case in the “Natural White” color. The reason I decided to purchase a silk pillow case was for taking better care of my hair and to prevent it getting “roughed up” at night like on my cotton pillow cases. I liked the pillow case at first but after a few months it began to look very worn out and dingy. I also noticed a small hole in one of the corners - - Before purchasing I read other comments/reviews that said the pillow case can withstand being machine washed. I washed the pillow case 1x a week in the machine - cold water, gentle cycle, also placing it in a garment bag. I always let it air dry. I took very good care of it and it’s not like I was throwing it around or putting my dirty head/face all over it. I live by myself and thus not sharing the pillows with anyone or any pets. Anyway, it ended up getting chucked after a few months because it didn’t look nice. Maybe it helped with keeping my hair nicer when I slept (the original hope), but not worth it to me. This pillowcase is fabulous. I purchased it because I read about how good silk can be for the skin and hair. I have long, brunette hair that requires significant styling so I can only wash it every few days. I thought, what the heck? Why not give it a try. I'm glad I did. There's no magical transformation in my hair or skin but what I notice is that all of those "dents and creases" that occur on your skin and hair from sleeping on them overnight are gone. I woke up the next day with boho style waves in my hair and my face didn't look like a topo map. Also, I like cool, soft bedding and now I'm considering purchasing silk sheets. I'm just disappointed because it looks like they don't sell complete sets for king sized bedding by Fishers Finery in this color. Also, my last compliment for these sheets is in regard to the quality. I was concerned the silk would be that flimsier material you find in silk shirts but it's not. It's amazing how thick and durable it feels. I followed the directions and washed this in baby shampoo and it dried quickly and smelled great.
