I recently purchased the Fisher Price Newborn Toys Rattle 'N Rock Maracas for my 4-month-old baby, and let me tell you, these things are a hoot! These colorful maracas come in a set of two - one blue and one orange - and are the perfect size for little hands to grasp and shake. First of all, the design of these maracas is just hilarious. They look like a cross between a giant pill capsule and a cartoon character's nose. I couldn't stop giggling when I first pulled them out of the box. But my baby didn't seem to care about the appearance - he was immediately drawn to the bright colors and started shaking them with all his might. One of the best features of these maracas is the soft, squishy material they're made of. They're like little stress balls with jingle bells inside. So not only can my baby shake them for a fun noise, he can also chew on them to his heart's content without hurting his gums. And believe me, he has been putting them to the test - these maracas have been drooled on, chewed on, and thrown across the room, and they're still holding up strong. I bought toy for four month old baby. He learns how to grasp and rock up and down the rattles. He even learned how to shake them. Great learning toy. Also a great toy for belly time as you shake the rattle above babies head, he lifts his head.
