My grandkids, love playing with this. The pictures are very cute, the sound is perfect. They love the music selection. The level is very easy for my 13 month old can use. Great multi learning experience. She also loves the handle, carries it everywhere. It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be. The old ones back in the day were twice as big. But I do love the smaller size makes it easy for her to carry and to store away. ... show more

  • Small, flimsy, difficult. But helpful.
It’s much smaller and flimsier than the ones when we parents were kids. You have to pull down hard and long even for an adult for it to work or else it’ll just spin with no sound at all. The images of the animals are small and not as clear as they could be. I was surprised for such a classic toy. That said, I use it as a helpful speech therapy tool with my child. For example, I manually move the arrow, point to the picture of a pig, and say “piggy oink oink,” etc. ... show more

  • Works great
This worked well and was very similar to the old one. I liked that it had the extra flip over tab for more animals.

  • Classic
My daughter lives out of the country and couldn’t find one for her toddler. Bought it on Amazon and sent it to her. It’s a classic toy for kiddos.

  • Decent but not practical
The media could not be loaded. Got this for my 18 month old to practice his speaking skills, and I like it so far (haven’t taken it out of the box yet). The lever is easy to pull, and the sound is (super) loud and clear, but I don’t plan on letting my son use it alone, yet..just for teaching purposes. One thing to know is that you must point the arrow at the picture you want to hear FIRST, or else you’ll pull the lever and hear an animal sound that doesn’t match the picture in which the arrow lands. For that reason, you can’t pull the lever back to back and expect to hear a sound; you’ll have to change the position of the arrow. Other than that hiccup, it’s a cute toy, especially for less than $10! I’d recommend! Update: Now that we’ve unboxed the toy and played with it a few times, I’ve noticed that it’s very frustrating to use. It is very difficult to hold the device with your left hand and pull the lever with your right. There is a handle, but it is inconveniently placed at the top of the toy rather than on the left side where a person could get a firm grip before attempting to pull the lever. Also, the fact that you can’t pull the lever back to back is super annoying. You’re forced to keep pointing to a different animal, and when the arrow spins, it points to yet another animal. I gave 3 stars because all the sounds work, and they match the animals. ... show more
