  • Perfect for the just crawling baby! 9 Month Old Daughter LOVES It.
This is absolutely adorable and my 9 month old daughter loves it so far. It has tons of additional sound effects/features that I did not know about when I chose it based on reviews/feedback from others. I felt my baby was getting a little bored with the same toys she's had since 3-6 months (the Oball, Baby Einstein piano, stackable rings, etc.), so I wanted to step up our game a bit with something that could keep her engaged for a longer stretch of time. This fits the bill! The hinged door (refrigerator opens from back) is perfect for the independently sitting/just crawling baby, because it encourages her to crawl around and play with the back of it just as much as the font. I love how the food shapes get dropped in and land in the refrigerator drawer. It's literally so perfect. Very well thought out toy. The best part, though, is the adorable sound effects and features of the main kitchen portion (front). I did not realize that the orange faucet pivots up and down to mimic turning the faucet on and off. The faucet also has rushing water, clinking dishes, and voiceover for learning effects. The stove burner "sizzles" when the red pot is placed there. The oven door has a hinges squeaking open and shut sound as well as a bubbling pot noise when you leave the door open for a bit. The on/off switch makes an adorable and realistic clicking sound, and the light feature is one of my daughter's favorite effects. The whole thing is genius and a big win. I can't wait to search for more of the Fisher Price line. I had previously looked in big box stores like Target, and I just wasn't finding age appropriate and engaging toys. Amazon is the ticket. This toy is just what I had in mind. ... show more

  • Our 16 month old grandson immediately started pretending he was cooking, turning on water faucet, and more
This has been a HUGE hit with a 16 month old. He has already started pretending to cook with this toy and we didn't expect that! This is the first extended role playing he has done. I added to the fun by putting a small amount of water in the sink and he used his regular feeding spoon to put the water in the cooking pot that comes with the kitchen. He also pretends to wash his hands. But I am not suggesting that you put water in the sink. I just decided to try it. of course, I kept an eye on him to avoid any major spills or water damage to this kitchen set. The sink doesn't leak. The sounds are very realistic and there is also a Spanish language option. The burner sizzles. Press down on the faucet and it sounds like water is running through it. There is also a fridge so it is really 2 toys in one. A shape sorter Is on the refrigerator door. Pretend food slides through the various holes and onto a refrigerator tray. This is fun but the stove and sink are currently the main attractions. I have a feeling this will be a favorite toy for years. He already drops the pretend carrot in the cooking pan, puts it in the oven, takes it out, and blows on the carrot to cool it off. It is so cute! As he gets older, I plan to put some pieces of real chopped veggies in the pan so he can pretend to cook with actual food and maybe even encourage him to eat his veggies. One of the MAJOR advantages of this toy is that it can be set to make only kitchen sounds- just the right blend of realism and a path to imaginative play. . ... show more

Ordered this fridge for my child for this upcoming Christmas. Had to open it to make sure it was intact & functioning correctly. Super cute! Has 4 different settings, 2 volume settings, fridge light comes on when you open the fridge, which i thought was cute. Im impressed for the value paid.

  • Excellent toy! Lot to offer for the price!
Style: Simplified Packaging Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
This toy keeps my 1 year old boy very entertained! He hardly sits still, but this toy can keep him sitting quietly for awhile. For the price, I believe it has a lot to offer. My son loves to try to open my oven and turn on my stove. This toy is a great deterrent. He pretends to cook while I am cooking. The light switch activates the face to light up and sing. The faucet makes a noise when moved, the stove top makes a noise when the included toy pot is placed on top of it, the clock offers tunes when spun, and the oven makes a noise as well when opened and closed. Even the fridge door is a shape sorter. You can't beat the deal. Please note, It's not good for a baby who may want to use it for support to stand up because it will tip over. My son also enjoy knocking it over, but it's durable. Overall I'd recommend this to any walking baby to a baby whose sitting but isn't pulling up on toys. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 1 year old niece and not only did she love it, her 3 year old sister did as well. The lights and sounds are great and we "ate" what they cooked all night. I think this is a great toy for toddlers!
