I am amazed at the quality of this fish finder mount and how heavy duty it is. It definetly has some weight to it so you will need to mount this to a solid base. It has a T-Bolt style track ball base that will connect to any track mount and is removable from the main stand. The main stand has a strong tension spring that can be loosened or tightened via the large hand knob on the side. This tension controls the adjustment of both ends of the mount for easy adjustment of the angle you need the fish finder at for easy viewing of your fish finder. The entire mount is made from heavy duty durable ABS material and the track ball on each end has a rubber coating on them for a secure grip to the mount pole. This product does have some weight to it so it will need mounted to a solid surface and not the flimsy side of a kayak. There are numerous hole designs on the top plate for fitting a wide variety of fish finders, and there is stainless steel hardware included to secure your device to the top plate. The T-bolt on the bottom is very easy to quicky install to a track mount plate by twisting it on until it tightens. The height of this product is 8 3/4" from the base to the top plate at a horizontal level which is a great height so the fish finder will not be in the way of other things. Overall, based upon the great quality, design, features and sturdiness of this product I highly recommend it to other boating anglers who need a reliable and secure way to mount a fish finder to their watercraft. ... show more

The base plate is made of plastic and it does flex a bit if you put a lot of force on it. The adjustments are nice and grippy (will hardly budge even with quite a bit of force) The other ball has an unusual connection, not quite suitable for universal fitment. Overall, it's OK.

    • Awesome heavy duty fish finder mount
This mount is way more heavy duty than I was expecting. Might be overkill for my tiny little Garmin but it's a great holder. I like the quick and easy adjustability. Nice and quick to remove the arm and leave the ball in the track for transport. Super sturdy materials, this is a great holder.

This is exactly what I needed and so far so good. The quality seems well made. I use it on my kayak for fishing and crabbing. It's compatible with my Lowrance fish finder and had held up well to the abuse of me knocking it, hitting it with my legs, etc. No complaints at all..
