I really like this laser level, its good quality, fairly easy to use (after you get it setup), has a really bright laser, and the auto level feature is amazing! I didn't see a big difference between the 3 different brightness settings. There is definitely a learning curve (in general if you've never used one of these before & during the setup). The instructions are pretty good, but they are missing a lot of (accurate) information - like how to actually attach the laser on the tripod, what all the different pieces do/are for/how to attach, etc. There is a piece that I still have no idea anything about it or when I should use it. I wish the whole set came with a bag/pouch to keep everything together & safe, but I do appreciate that at least the laser comes with a case to protect it. I like all the bubble levels all over to tell you if your tripod & level are actually level to start with. The tripod is pretty easy to setup, and I like that each individual leg is independently adjustable. Once you can get the level attached securely on the tripod and make sure all the bubbles are centered, it's actually a lot easier to use than I had expected. The auto level feature is a game changer! There are so many projects this would work great for! I double & triple checked its accuracy with my professional levels and it's dead on, so it's very reliable. A self-leveling 360 degree vertical and horizontal (cross line level) green laser level. This system (FireCore G30) is very stable for setting anything level on a wall – with ability to throw a self-leveling line in both horizontal and vertical axis (crossline level). We found it helpful in ensuring our back splash tile tracked level across the entire wall. It is really easy to see and follow the line level across the entire wall using the green beam (which seems easier on my eyes over time). I really like the self-leveling feature as it can be put anywhere and it will self-level - a tripod, or a magnetic surface using the magnetic mount. The mounting features include a tripod and a magnetic mount. I ran it with both the tripod mount on the supplied tripod and a much taller tripod – to set the tile across the counter tops, which drove my shop helper (a cat named Nebula) to jump up the wall to catch the light beam. Sister Adhara, was off in the other room chasing it around the bedroom – did I mention it will cast a beam pretty at least 50 feet? Worried that I don’t want to cause any eye damage to my shop helpers – I powered off the G30 and told my shop helpers to grab a break. I will probably operate this laser level with them on their tuna break in the other part of the house. Back from their tuna break, they spent the next 15 minutes looking for the green line on the wall. Priorities. The magnet mount held great on the refrigerator and being self-leveling, I really did not need a tripod to level the tile to the cabinets using the X/Y feature – casting a solid beam of green light across the horizon and vertically, I was able to set the beam across the grout sections of the tile across the entire kitchen and see any deviations with a quick glance. The supplied case to house the level is sturdy and would hold up well for a consistent use. The included 2’ tripod is well built aluminum this lightweight device. The kit comes with the laser level, a ball-mounted swivel, a magnetic mount, and a tripod. So at the time I ordered this, I didn’t have a specific project for it. I do, however, buy and remodel one house per year minimum. It’s just a hobby to keep me busy but I knew that this would come in very handy on those houses to install kitchens, installing custom trim and endless other projects. The Laser itself is incredibly bright and easy to see. Even for someone like me who doesn’t have the best eyes. It runs off of four AA batteries that they are kind enough to provide for you. They also give you a great, really nice quality carrying case to put this in and a pretty decent tripod. The tripod have has numerous settings on it so you can adjust it to within +/-3° and the laser itself will take over from there and self level itself. It takes a fair amount of time to read through the instructions and figure out how to use this, it’ll probably take a couple uses to actually retain all of that knowledge, but once you’ve got it all down, this is a pretty nice and simple to use tool that will make your work look professional and high-quality. I feel like with a tripod, the carrying case and the laser level itself, you’re getting a pretty good bargain for $100 at the time that I ordered this. Everything is made of plastic so use caution, don’t get too rough on a job site with it or drop it out of the bed of your truck. It’s likely to break pretty easy or leave the Laser needing recalibrated. Otherwise, it appears to be decent construction and definitely worth the money. I have no doubt that I will get many years of use out of this installing cabinets, countertops and trim work. This is a great device that was easy to use and easy to setup. I had no issues using, it was good at keeping itself level and providing level lines. I did have a slight issue where double lines were showing up but having it re-level itself fixed that issue. The lines were clear to see and use as visual guide for things on a wall. It requires 4 batteries that were provided and worked for at least an hour, didn't do a battery length test. It does what you need it to do and without having to handle a level too. ... show more
