  • Good Headphones DAC
Style: In The Ear
So, I use this DAC with FiiO FH3 earbuds. I get really good high res sound images with this combination. I am sure you can spend more money and raise the sound quality. For me, this works well for the sound I look for. The unit is very compact and requires no power cord. I recommend it.

  • Just got today, first DAC/AMP
Style: In The Ear
Title... Not an experienced audiophile, just picked up a DAC/AMP to fix electrical interference in my PC setup. Being used with low impedance headphones (ATH-M50X's). I love songs with heavy bass. That being said, the bass boost is trash, you're much better off downloading a software equalizer and setting that to your liking. Besides that tho it's a nice little product. Emphasis on little - Was expecting something a bit bigger based on the pictures, but it fits in your palm. Not a big deal tho since it's just getting mounted near my PC, size didn't really matter. Quality wise it fixed my problem and the audio for everything just seems much cleaner. Anyone else using it for PC that uses Realtek sound drivers and their built in equalizer be warned tho - This device has its own drivers (Was plug and play, so windows recognized it and installed the drivers instantly) that do NOT come with an equalizer. Took 60 seconds to get out of the box and plugged in, then two hours searching for a good software eq that didn't sound like trash and configuring it properly. Once everything was set up tho it was well worth it. ... show more

  • Good sound quality
Style: In The Ear
First, let me say this has amazing sound quality. It's absolutely phenomenal when used on a PC. It's compact and the controls are easy to use. My biggest gripe with the unit is that it's very loud. I have to keep it barely turned on or else it would hurt my ears. (somewhere between zero and one) Since it's so loud, even the slightest bump of the volume knob can be painful to your ears. This is paired with muze 99 classics headphones. If you have headphones that require a lot of power to operate, this product is for you. ... show more

  • Rock on
Style: In The Ear
This little puppy makes the Yamaha HPH MT8 headphones scream. I Highly recommend this bad boy to anyone who wants a crystal clear sound that will blow your mind! The headphones may have something to do with it. Rock on!

  • A beautifully engineered audiophile grade DAC
Style: In The Ear
This thing is incredibly small AND sounds great! For the price, you’re getting more than what you paid for. See picture for size, the thing is smaller than a bic pen!!!

  • It is ok.
Style: In The Ear
Slight background hiss at all times, especially with low impedance headphones. Otherwise, sound is good. Dealbreaker for me was the slight pop with low impedance headphones when at the beginning of any audio input. Returned, not for me...

  • Didn't need it, but still kinda nice to have
Style: In The Ear
So I am using this with a Sennheiser HD58x, which can get decent volume without an amp, and I have a few thoughts: 1. It kinda makes instruments sound further apart, I don't know how else to describe it. This effect probably has a name, but it does feel more alive and expansive but, not by all that much. 2. The bass boost is okay, I will listen to music with it, but turning it off and setting my own EQ up makes the bass sound less muddy than the bass boost does. 3. The blue light on the device is just way too bright in a dark room. 4. A digital audio in would also be nice, since this isn't just a dac it is an amp, still for the price only being able to use it with a PC isn't such a problem. 5. I wish the device was either a bit bigger with rubber feet, or a bit smaller with a battery. 6. The noise floor truly seems to disappear, it is very impressive there is just no noise when you don't have any audio playing as you have to wonder if it is on or not. All in all, I consider this a pretty good deal, and while the sound improvement was admittedly minor from my motherboard's sound card, the fact I can tell a difference at all is good enough for me. ... show more

  • In search of another brand <1 year later
Style: In The Ear
Bought this July of 2023. Not huge into Hi-Fi, but DACs provide more benefits than just higher quality audio. Its usb powered and easily mountable under the desk. I also enjoy a built in bass booster for some medias. But there's more problems than benefits. The volume control only works for the headphone jack, that jack is on the front where I prefer to keep a clean aesthetic and not block access to the dial with cabling. When you start your PC you have to turn the DAC off and on EVERY time for it to be recognized. And now, just shy of 11 months in - it is no longer recognized by Windows. Not even in Device Manager. New drivers, different ports, swapped cables - zero success. Ive dealt with it enough it's time to find a different product. ... show more
