Description

The Fieldpiece Dual-Temperature meter, Model ST4, measures two temperatures simultaneously using the included K-Type, wrap tab beaded thermocouples. The technology inside the ST4 provides superior temperature compensation in rapidly changing environments commonly found while performing field service. Use the ST4 to find Delta T and just about any temperature split you want to measure. Displays T1, T2 and T1-T2 in big numbers on the LCD screen. Features two front face calibration pots and comes in our clear front case with Magnetic hanger model ANC6. Use with our optional Atwb1 wet bulb thermocouple to help you find target superheat or with our pipe clamp T/CS to check for blocked Dryer filters.

This meter is very accurate and works great. I found the included thermocouples cumbersome to work with so I went out and bought the clamp on style. I turned the included thermocouples into wet bulb thermocouples with an old hollow shoe string and alligator clips.

Overall somewhat disappointed in this expensive thermometer. On the positive side It's sturdy and easy to calibrate. Nice switches and rubber wrap. However as others have noted no backlight and you can't view both probes at once. The whole design seems pretty dated with 2 screws to open the battery compartment. And a 9 voltage battery is disappointing. Lasted maybe 40 hours. And on mine the Max-Min doesn't work. It says Max and Min when you push the button but it keeps on changing as they temperature changes, worthless. Probably just a flaw on mine but at this price expected better. I don't think today even a good instrument should cost this much, but after trying two cheaper ones that were just junk I am glad to have this one that reads the temperature reliably and easy to calibrate when you change probes. Today's probes seems poor quality and you do need to calibrate when you use a different one. ... show more

Used it the first time this weekend to check the temperature on my hvac while adding additional Freon. Worked great and I calibrated it beforehand. Temperature was very accurate. I would highly recommend. There are attachments that can be purchased. I bought the hose clamp attachment.
