The Westin DiamondStep is traditionally known as the utility bumper with an embossed steel step plate and a functional diamond tread design. This bumper features 7-gauge steel hitch plate with a 1-inch center hole to accommodate a hitch ball. The DiamondStep rear bumper is black powdercoated for a durable and rust resistant finish. This bumper requires a universal series mounting kit for an easy, no drill installation.

Bumper is sturdy, looks decent, and is easy to install. The only issue is they don't pack these with any cushioning on the ends, so it may arrive damaged if the shipping company drops the box. With the proper mounting kit, this bumper fits my 1984 Ford Bronco great. Just 4 bolts total and there was no issues installing. The packaging was torn and damaged, but the bumper itself has no defects. The material feels pretty sturdy but I hope I never have to find out how it does if I should get rear ended. My biggest complaint would be the sealant used between the top diamond plate portion of the bumper and the rest of the bumper body. A weld would have been far better looking as well as help structurally. After installing I wiped the bumper down with some grease and wax remover and it actually smeared some of this sealant. Again, other then the use of sealant, this is a good quality replacement bumper. ... show more

Bought this for my 96 F250 Supercab 4x4. It came a few days early, I opened it up and was really impressed with the quality of the bumper and the finish. The installation brackets came the same day. Everything bolted up easily and adjusted right into place with little effort. Instructions were very easy to understand. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with the license plate light housings, electrical sockets, bulbs and connectors. I did not remember seeing that on the description. I got this bumper and the appropriate mounting kit, spent 30 minutes under the tail end of my 87 Ram getting everything perfect. The mounting bracket has about a dozen different ways to mount it, so attach everything loosely and adjust for pitch and depth before cranking it down. So far it has held up well, I have mounted a ball to it and pulled a light duty trailer with a generator on it without issue. The bumper itself has black silicone around the top where the diamond pattern plate meets the vertical bumper, doesn't last long but easy to replace or just lay a weld on it yourself. Fit was good. The center section is vary sturdy. But the ends are a bit flimsy. I made my own bracket's from some light angle iron I had around and drilled two holes in the new bumper. That stiffened up the sides to an acceptable standard

Within the last year , I have been rear ended at about 35 mph with no brakes. This same bumper has shown excellent durability. The mounting bracket needed for this bumper were bent both times but the integrity of this bumper is impressive. The finish still looks new after 3 years.
