Overall, I'm happy with the final product. Definitely tedious to do but worth it. Not sure how long the brass brads will hold up, but repairing/replacing will be easy. I've included a pic. I have an ugly stump imbedded in the fence, so that was a bit of a hassle, but it went up fairly easily. I did it myself, so I had to figure out a "system". I started the weave from the top so it all looked the same. When I got to the bottom, I secured there 1st, pulled up the slack and then secured the top. I used a cheapie little knife point to make a starter hole in the strip. The brads are cheap and bend, so they need a head start. I may run another set of strips the opposite direction for max wind blocking, I haven't decided yet. Looks good, does the job. Would I want to do a long stretch of fencing? Uh, no and definitely not if I was doing it myself. Phone a friend to make this little project easier, but you can definitely do it yourself. ... show more

    • Huge difference using this product.

Had a six-foot chain link fence put in early in the spring. The crew that put up the fence did a great job but the "privacy slats" I was sold sight-unseen were worthless. No better than a screen door. Found the Fenpro privacy tape on line and added it to the fence, over the slats. Huge difference! The tape seems pricey but to do the same amount of fence that I bought slats for was about a third of the price. The fasteners that come with the fence are a nuisance to use and you receive far more than needed but that was easily resolved by getting longer brads at the local office supply store as hardware stores here did not carry them. Recommend running the tape from bottom to top and then cutting the length you need because some runs may take a bit more tape if you need to work around a wire or clamp.     • Privacy but takes work to do!

This is excellent for privacy and has a beautiful effect. But it does take time to do and you need something to punch holes for the brads. We used a large nail. We love it now that we took the time to do it!

I did not like that when I need it to buy more the next day the products price changed and that the overnight delivery was not there ( the first one that I got was overnight delivery) I got the black one .

    • Works good but need to figure out a way to apply the brass fasteners a hole punch is too big

You have to figure out some way to attach the brass fasteners a hole punch makes too big of a hole so I don't recommend that you can take a sharp knife or like a utility blade and just pinch the flap over the chain link when you're trying to make the hole for the brass fastener. Take a fresh utility knife blade and just poke a little hole through both pieces and that should be enough to let the tabs on the brass fasteners slip through both sides of the fence material. The product is good quality and it looks good once you leave it through the fence I would recommend it. ... show more

We used this on a gate and it turned out great! Took two of us to install correctly. The metal fixtures worked well. We used an ice pick to poke the hole. Would definitely purchase again.
