This was perfect fit for my father's ashes and I will be buying the matching one with red trim for my mother's ashes in advance (hopefully, many years in advance). My father's ashes now rest in a military cemetery, where my mother can eventually join him. This product is VERY heavy on its own. It's sturdy and well built, with a seal incorporated into the threaded lid. I was very happy with this purchase during a most difficult time and will recommend this product to anyone (on a budget or not). I was surprised at how nice it was. Almost same urn at the funeral home was $250. Glad a friend mentioned this to me I would have never thought to but this off of Amazon

    • Nice urn, Height is closer to 12 inches! Gave it less star because of error in description.
My husband passed 11/2/2020 and I wanted to preorder an urn for myself so others wouldn't have that item to take care of when my time comes. His urn was described as 10 1/2 inches also and it is. So I ordered this one and the height was described as 10 1/2 inches. Put it next to my husband's and it was closer to 12 inches. Had to return and order another, hopefully it'll come as described. I don't want to match his, but I certainly want it to measure approximately the same. It is a pretty urn. The other problem was that I had to get it out of the house the next day as it smelled very strongly of mildew! It was probably the packaging but it had gone all the way through to the cloth/pouch protector of the urn inside. ... show more
