My violin arrived with bent strings and when I tried to tune it, the strings broke, leaving me no chance to even test my new instrument. I am disappointed and would like to request an exchange for a new one. I am sad that I will not be able to enjoy this with my son on New Year's Eve. This violin is great for adults starting out. Comes with all the essentials like a case, bow, and strings. Super easy to use and perfect for newbies. Not a pro violin, but awesome for learning. Doesn't seem cheap or mass produced at all. Highly recommend.

That the instrument itself is great it’s small great size for a child, the tuning nobs however- suck. The instrument becomes untuned quickly even when you fine tune it with the small tuners at the base, which makes the violin sound awful, and won’t help anyone even a beginner because pitch will never be correct. This thing needs new tuning nobs. I’d say if your up for upgrading it than it’s a good purchase but if you’re a beginner and don’t know what you’re doing, buying something of higher quality or value is likely more the way to go.
