We decided to buy a portable monitor to connect to our cell phones so that we can view content on a larger display. After a lot of online research, my wife decided to try this FANGOR product and it has pleasantly exceeded our expectations! It works with both of our cell phones - an iPhone and a Motorola running on Android - using our own 3-way HDMI adapters (we separately bought one specific to each phone as shown in one of our photos). Both setups worked perfectly when screen mirroring and viewing YouTube videos (see photos). The monitor can be powered using either of the type-c ports with the included connector or the micro USB port (using our own connector). The full-function type-c port can also serve as a pass-through to power other accessories (in our case the 3-way adapter) as long as you have a power source connected to the other charge-only type-c port. The display settings (brightness etc.) can be easily adjusted using the menu button. The display and sound seem pretty good for typical web browsing as well as tasks you would do on a cell phone. The user manual is clear with understandable instructions and diagrams. If you are connecting this monitor to something that has a full function type-c port or an HDMI port, you shouldn’t need any of your own connectors as the monitor comes with all the different connectors you would need to set it up. We needed our own connectors because the connection ports on our phones are not type-c. The only minor flaw we noticed was the presence of some white spots in a roughly 2” by 2” area in the upper left quadrant of the screen (see photo - spots are near the upper left corner of the white display box). These spots are not visible at all when the monitor is either connected and displaying, or completely turned off; they are only visible when the monitor is powered on but in idle mode (as show in the photo). They are not due to screen surface imperfections, but seem to be related to the pixels somehow. As the spots do not impact the functional performance of the monitor’s display, we still give the product 5 stars but want to point them out as feedback to the seller/manufacturer. ... show more

One of my old coworkers has a portable monitor and showed me how awesome and helpful these are. Ever since then I’ve been in the lookout for one and had just been waiting for the right price, or some kind of encouragement to just get it. At roughly $100, I was leery of this portable monitor just being disposable junk. There were enough reviews that made me confident in the purchase. I have had this monitor for about 3 days now, and it is great! Everything came neatly packed away in a thick box with foam packing. I am confident that this could have been thrown at the front door by the amazon delivery person, and it would be just fine. Inside, the box contained the portable monitor, the magnetic sleeve/cover, the power brick, and 4 cables (mini-hdmi to hdmi, usb2 to usbC for power, mini-hdmi to female hdmi and usb3 to usbC). After connecting the monitor to my computer, it paired up instantly and displayed a bright, sharp and clear picture. Resolution is 1920x1080. This portable monitor looks better than some ‘normal’ monitors that I’ve used in the past. The screen is clear and sharp on movies and the text is clear in excel. I will wind up using this more for work in excel and bluebeam looking at PDFs. I do see that this has screw holes in the back to be mounted, but I have no intent to mount. It comes with a magnetic flap cover which also is used to prop up the monitor, and it is adjustable, so it can be aimed at the ‘sweet spot’. All in all, this is a great portable monitor.     • Didn’t last long.
Only use when I travel, which means I barely use it even though I bought 18 months ago. Mini HDMI stop working, it keeps going on and off and it’s loose. The brightness is not too bright either.

[Update 4/18/21] so I bought a new hdmi to mini hdmi and that seems to fix the problem by far! The customer service are incredibly kind! They will help u by any means necessary! I appreciate them so much! Great product overall and great costumer service! Looking forward to buying from them again! [Update 4/17/21] ok the hdmi is starting to bug out more often for and it seems to not connect every now and then unless I jibble it around a bit but it always seems to bug out... I was hoping it isn't gonna be a fluke but this was honestly a great purchase!!! I needed a portable monitor that i can move around the house! It works great with my switch and the sound is pretty decent and the brightness adjustments works amazingly! ... show more

I’m editing old movies I have from my voyages onboard passenger and cruise ships where I worked for 41 years. I use a very good program. The working screen is divided into 3 main parts: top left library, top right preview window. Bottom editing workspace. If in the editing workspace I have a lot of tracks, to see them I must reduce the size of the preview window. For this reason, there is an option to transfer the preview window to a secondary monitor. After searching Amazon I found this monitor: not too small and large enough to accommodate it on my desk. And a good price. The setup has been fast and easy. It does what was needed very nicely - it works as hoped, I am pleased with the outcome. I believe it deserves the 5 stars. ... show more

I have had this monitor for 2 days now, and it is everything it advertised! First, it came in a really nice and well packed box. Inside the box was the portable monitor, the magnetic sleeve/cover, the power brick, and 4 cables (mini-hdmi to hdmi, usb2 to usbC for power, mini-hdmi to female hdmi and usb3 to usbC). I immediately plugged in the monitor to a power source and connected it to my computer; it instantly paired providing a bright, sharp, and clear picture. The screen is every much as good as the one on my ThinkPad laptop I am glad I made this purchase as it appears to be a great portable monitor. I am looking forward to adding it to my work laptop and using it for fun as well ... show more
