I bought an oversized un-stuffed Snorlax plushy for my husband, and it was suggested to use around 10lb of stuffing, I found this 20lb box and it was only a few dollars more than buying a 10lb box elsewhere - "Awesome!" I thought, "I'll have half leftover for my crafts!" Well, I only used about an 8th of the box for Snorlax and I have a 50 year supply of stuffing remaining! Haha Humorous anecdote aside, this a very good price for this amount of stuffing, I make crochet characters and plushies myself so, although flabbergasted, I'm extremely happy that I have all this leftover stuffing because it's going to get used eventually. The quality is also very nice (I'm thinking that this is the reason why I needed so little compared to what was recommended) I've worked with a few different types of stuffing over the years and I really love this stuff, you can pack it down very densely or use it sparingly and the end result of the item is very nice, no clumpy lumps (in my batch I didn't find any dense, tight balls of stuffing like with other brands) and no gaps (the fibers themselves are very fine which means that when in a plushy for example, it's very good at dispersing itself throughout the entire item without gaps) Of course there is a technique to making sure you don't pack it down in lumps but that's another story.. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my 50 years supply of great quality stuffing! I would say that I'd buy again but I don't think I'll need to! ... show more

I got this stuff in order to re-fluff my 8-year-old daughter’s unicorn she got as a baby. It looks nicer in the ‘after’ pictures cuz I washed and brushed it after gutting it of the old stuffing. I got two 32 oz bags since I wasn’t sure how much I’d need. It came with a stuffing stick too, which I thought was cool! I put all the old stuffing back in, which filled up the limbs, head, and most of the neck. I only used almost half of one bag to stuff the rest of it. When it’s on it’s back it reminds me of a fainting goat now lol! This is great stuff! I highly recommend it! ... show more

This brand always seems to be the best value and its available everywhere! I've used it for dolls, stuffed animals, crochet projects, pillows, and random other things. I dislike the mess of tiny shreds of fibers that fall out when I grab clumps of stuffing out of the bag, but its a minor thing for me, I just brush it off of myself and my project. This stuffing is forgivable enough that I can stuff and re-stuff something if I'm unhappy with how I did the first time; it will be slightly clumped up but still very plush. ... show more

I purchased this 25 lb box of Polyfil over a year ago and I've barely made a dent. The first thing I have to say is that 25 lbs is a LOT of Polyfil. Why did I order so much? Because getting 25x as much as I needed was only about 3 times more expensive than buying exactly the quantity that I needed. Of course, none of this really reflects the quality of the product. So, it's very finely "spun" polyester fiber and it does make a nice stuffing. I like that you can pack it in tight and you still have a "soft" item (pillow, stuffed animal, doll, etc), or you can pack it loosely and have an even softer item. It doesn't matter if you pull it out of the box in a huge wad and then "fluff" it before stuffing it into your item, or if you pull it in little tufts and stuff accordingly, or stuff a fairly large wad into the item and then smush and punch and manipulate the item, it seems that the Polyfil always manages to distribute itself into a nice, evenly soft stuffed item. It's odorless, which is nice, and a clean white color, easy to handle, etc. Not crazy about what polester actually is (plastic) but for making stuffed animals, dolls, pillows, etc., it really is a nice product. ... show more

    • Easy and cost effective way to re-plump pillows I already have

We had several decorative pillows throughout our home that were getting flat to the point that they provided no support or comfort. I started looking for replacement pillows on Amazon when I realized that almost all of these pillows had zipper openings. I searched "pillow stuffing" and was directed to Fairfield Original Poly-fil and decided to give it a try since a huge box cost less than one or two replacement pillows. It is very easy to use. Just open the zipper and start placing handfuls of the stuffing in until you get the amount of fullness you want. It took me only about 15 minutes to add some of this filling to 4 pillows. The only slightly tricky part is getting the stuffing into the corners of the pillow but even that isn't difficult. Another pleasant surprise is that I have so much stuffing left over because it expands so much when opened that it looks like I barely used any. There is plenty to share with friends and family members. Very pleased with this purchase. Solved a problem AND saved money! What more could you ask for. ... show more
