  • Works with Dodge Challenger, no resistors or canbus needed.
Model: 9012/HIR2
These are pretty bright. Brighter than most other cars on the road with me. Great upgrade over 5 year old halogen. Kind of a pale blue color, but not too blue. Seems like decent quality too. 9012 size, Plug and go play for Challenger. I changed the fog lights with H11 size LED lights too. Be aware, they are a different size than the headlight. This should do well in the South Florida downpour. With both sets of lights on, at the same time, they cast a wide beam, with a strong illumination down road in the dark, and now the Hemi is even more fun to drive at night. ... show more

  • Lower expectations
Model: 9012/HIR2
Lets begin with my vehicle, it's a 2015 Volt, notorious for having poor lighting from the projectors on it. I've gone on many cross country trips with it, driving through the night, and I've learned the patterns of the beams and what to expect from my car. Having said that, now that my headlights are a pure white instead of the halogen yellow, they do stand out more. I noticed the patterns much more but they are still the same. I'm not getting a wider spread. The focus areas are the same. This just means the bulbs were plug and play and are positioned correctly for my car. Again, because the light is white now, the side spread does stand out so it is a bit more noticeable. Are they brighter? I would say a little bit brighter than the halogen but what's visible from my car is about the same. They do stand out more but I have also been in the city where there is always lighting but soon I will be traveling and I will be able to see the real affect of these bulbs. I will update when my travels are over. They fit like standard bulbs and with some jiggering, I got all the wires and ballast to fit inside the housing. There is a fan at the back of the bulbs so i am a little worried of over heating since they are now fully enclosed but like I said, my travels will included extended night driving and will put these Fahren Forerunner 9012/HIR2 bulbs to the test. ... show more

  • My second set of bulbs from Fahren Auto, and loving them. 2007 Ford Taurus
Model: 9007/HB5
This is my second set of bulbs in as many weeks (two different vehicles) cause I loved the first ones and the customer service so much. I bought some different ones (same seller) for my truck, had such a great experience, I instantly bought some for my elder mothers car. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! As a typical guy, I didnt. And after it became obvious that I wasnt going to be able to install these, I grab the instructions. Sadly, I pasted the part where it explained you can remove the adjusting ring so that these can be installed. I did a quick look at the bubls but didnt see any obvious why that could happen. I did however flip right to the part in the instructions where it states that some vehicles like VW and Mercedes and others might require additional hardware. So I just assumed, my vehicle was one of those and contacted the manufacture. Well a couple of days later I got to wondering, grab the instructions and there it was plain as day. So I headed back out and installed these in no time. The only thing you really need to do is get the top and bottom LED strips right. The screws on the back of the housing fan are clocked at 12 and 6. Which is the typical clock for headlights. So once you determine where your low beam is, you can clock the bulb using the screw placement. You can adjust the clock at anytime as the adjustment ring is held in place by the headlight assembly. AND if by chance you are upside down, just remove the bulb by turning all the way counter clockwise. Remove it and flip it 180 degrees and clock to where you need it. Because the 2007 Ford Taurus doesnt have a light cut off, I kept the dims a little lower then normal cause they are LED lights and brights work AMAZINGLY! ... show more

  • How to and Pro-tip about these lights, with external driver/ballast and adjustment
Model: H11+9005
These lights come with an external driver (equivalent to ballast for older style lights). The driver helps regulate voltage and amperage to keep the lights at a constant level and not build up excess heat. Couple that with the small fan attached to the lights, and these are well thought out for the price. It is best to tape the drivers some place rather than letting them hang. Use 3M tape, they get warm and with cheap tape will just come off and be right back to flopping around. As for the light they throw, it is a bright, strong, white light. A big upgrade over halogen or the like. Pro-tip: When you get them into the housing, make sure the bulb is vertical. An included hex key allows you to loosen the light itself and turn it relative to the base mount so you can get it as vertical as possible after screwing it into the housing. It makes a big difference when you orient the bulbs correctly because it allows the diffusers and reflectors to throw as much light forward as possible. You will have to correctly orient it for your car, but many cars and trucks are vertical. You can usually tell which will be best by looking at the bulb cap/diffuser in your headlight housing. The bulb cap/diffuser is the piece the bulb itself sits behind and captures as much light as possible and reflects it back into the large set of angled reflectors that are then projected forward in a beam pattern. If the diffuser is more vertical than horizontal (rectangular, oblong etc) then mount the bulbs vertically. If they are more horizontal, mount them horizontally. A lot of cars are actually round and you would think the orientation wouldn't matter if this is the case, being a circle, but I have found vertical mounting works better than horizontal or diagonal mounting in many situations for round diffusers. Many motorcycles, UTVs etc don't have real good diffusers so it is usually best to mount them vertically to give you the best view of the road on the left and right side. Your best bet is to experiment if you aren't sure which way gives you the most light. It is really easy to adjust. Final tip: Using your headlight adjusters may have unpredictable results if you mount these bulbs in a funny way (say horizontal when they should be mounted vertically). Again, experiment and see what works for you, but you can really get the best out of these lights by taking your time and doing it right rather than just slapping them in and hoping. ... show more
