PITT Artist Pens are acid-free, water-based pigment ink that is rich with high quality pigments. The colors are transparent and can be layered to create your own color. The acid-free water-based pigment ink is made with pure pigment that has a high level of color and transparency, smear- proof and non-bleeding. The colors will stay vibrant for a long time. Once adhered to the paper, it will not bleed through or bleed through. Great for use with other art supplies such as watercolor pencils. Ink pens are often used by artists as well as graphic designers. High quality nibs allow you to move the brush in any direction without bending over. Used as a writing instrument for small work type applications such as spread sheets, labels and forms where a small print is needed. Also needing some text after written to be highlighted and/or scotch tape placed over, this pen is very usable. The ink dries very fast and I can mark, alter, tape over almost immediately (which I need). This pen (like the "s" and "xs" Faber-Castell black pens) is extremely fine and can write very small. The difference for me being the tip, the red pen's tip seems to be slightly longer and more flexible. This red pen does bleed a tad more than it's black ink cousins but still works well. **See Pictures: The red being this pen, the black skinny writing being a basic ballpoint pen from a bank and the third slightly thicker black pen a Pentel fine point pen. I’m big into bullet journaling and this is my go to pen for titles, setting up all my weekly and monthly spreads, and everything in between. For the first year and a half I was on a constant mission to find the perfect black felt tip pen. After I tried what I thought a sufficient number of other brands (see photo to put into perspective how many different brands I compared and contrasted), I’ve concluded that the Faber-Castell 1.5 is it. Lines are bold, smooth, and the best thing is there’s minimal to no shadowing on the back page of my journal spreads. Faber-Castell makes several different colors, aside from black.. I own the metallic blue, green and pink and use those quite often as well. I wouldn’t recommend any other pen. ... show more
