I've had my switch modded for a year and it's always looked great and finally decided to mod my PS5 controller next and boy do they look amazing together! My girl now makes drifting jokes to me and always turns on house phonk whenever I turn any of them on. Then the joke got real when the right joycon's stick decided to actually drift! Funny story aside though, I diffidently mean it when I say this mod was worth every penny and time put into it. I'll most likely be modding all my first brand controllers like this! PROS; Easy to install! There's a video on youtube that you can follow that really helps. If I were to compare I'd say the joycon is the most difficult since it is so compact so PS5 will be much more enjoyable to install! I was actually more relax where the joycon had me nervous with every step! The light change is easy to do and they always look amazing! You would think they drain the battery faster but it honestly doesn't feel much different. Although I went the extra mile and upgraded the battery for my controller as well. You might as well if you're gonna open it and drain more battery life! So my controller now lasts an entire day unplugged even with these LED lights. So you might notice a slight difference with normal battery and I suggest you upgrade it too while you're doing this. CONS; It can't be helped but it's super fragile and you won't notice if any mistakes are made until after the install. I suggest making small efforts to do any testing before fully putting it together and to slowly take your time. You eventually have to make a choice in cutting two paper ends and there's no real instructions on how to know which controller you have to know which ends to cut(and you'll see what I mean when you start installing). I believe the controller model number is somewhere on the controller motherboard but I can't recall where so I'm sorry I can't specify. If anything goes wrong I suggest seeing if anything is loose or ripped and then try getting a replacement. It's difficult to know if anything is fully plugged in until after you test it. This is easy to break but once installed you're pretty much in the clear. My personal complaint is I wish the shoulder buttons would also light up. It's really just the entire front but I suppose it's not really possible with how the controller is made. If they could find a way though that would be amazing and will find me returning for the upgraded set! Another opinion I have is I wish the button symbols were more like the original than throwing in extra lines making it look like a third brand controller. But these aren't real issues and I'm super happy with it regardless so I still give this product five stars! ... show more

The instructions provided in the video were clear. Nonetheless, I did not trust the LEDs to adhere to the controller, so I used additional electric tape to ensure it stood still. You will need to do the same. This is not an install for the faint of heart. I can't argue with the result, however! I will say one thing. If you were installing multiple components, i.e., triggers, back buttons, etc., they could provide instructions for all three components instead of separate instructions. I had to figure that out by myself, and by the time I got around to installing the triggers, I gave up on them because I would need to pull apart the LEDs and back buttons. ... show more

Unexperienced at taking electronics apart. Watched their installation video on Youtube with just the minor issue of some poor lighting and not zooming in as well as I'd like but was manageable, took me about an hour to carefully put it together. You have to provide your own electrical tape and research which controller type you have beforehand to help it go smoothly. The analog sticks were poor quality, keeping the old but light still goes around those and looks nice, the rest of the buttons worked out great as intended. Like the programable feature to change colors and turn it on or off. Great tools, mostly great parts [minus the analog sticks]. Highly recommend this product, especially to someone who doesn't know the buttons and has to look down in the dark during night play and can be toggled off for players who don't need it. ... show more

Bought the wrong lights, my controller is BDM_030 thankfully i stoped before cuting the strip. I will be returning the item and order BDM_030 all and all i learned a lot its my first time and glad i din't screw upp. Very easy prosses i would recomend this product. Edit: i missed the last step in the video i placed the pcb cable to the led lights port in the process of pulling it out it broke i let them know about it they send me a second mask free of charge 10 out of 10 i would recomend them ... show more

I really love the idea of this and WILL be purchasing a second for my other controller. The only issue i have is the lighting behind the D pad and the action buttons. Its a bit inconsistent and definitely not bright enough, but still super cool! When looking directly at the controller with the controller about 12 inches from my face, i can see bright spots and dark spots in the lighting. My buttons are black and the lights are blue, i feel like maybe some sort of diffuser might help distribute the light more evenly behind the buttons. Installation wasnt too bad, they have a video on YouTube that you can follow that works quite well, just watch a step and pause it, perform the step, and continue the video or rewind it to rewatch it if needed. Overall, yes, there's room for improvement, and i'd highly suggest it as maybe a more premium version of the same thing. It looks really good in darker rooms but when using darker colors like blue (like i am), rooms really need to be dark for the lights to really stand out properly. ... show more

Love the aesthetic of this lighting pack and the option to change the colors! However, there is significant battery drain when left on continually. If you're like me and have power cables always around, it's a non-issue, but if you have to be further away from your console without one, take that into consideration, or order 2 controllers and 2 lights in order to have backups for intense/long gaming sessions. ... show more
