  • Gold standard for FPS games
Size: For PS5 BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: P5 BDM-010 BDM-020 Tactile Clicky Hair T...
I've done this mod to a number of switch controllers, first time trying it on a ps5. Simply put, if you plan to only use the controller in question on games that require a full trigger pull to activate input such as most FPS games then these can't be beat. They literally reduce your time to pull the trigger and speed up your ads/firing reaction time, as well as give a satisfying click you can hear/feel letting you know exactly when that input has been made. You do literally disable the "adaptive" triggers and kinda ruin anything like a racing game where you might want to "feather" the Gas/Brake so I wouldn't recommend doing this to your only controller unless you exclusively play FPS games. The kit works with the rise 2.0 and the LED kit as well, just gotta watch and use all 3 tutorials and figure out the best order to do everything in since there isn't an all in one video. One important note: i had to get some sand paper and little by little sand the l2/r2 inserts to get a perfect fit, at first they were too big and kept the button stuck down, if anybody else has that issue. But overall the controller i built for my friend turned out great and I would completely recommend extremerate's stuff, as this is now the 8th controller I've built from their kits! ... show more

So far after several days and hours of use, the item has broke in and is working flawlessly. I purchased one from cinch and one from aim and this item equals to that of those calibers without fail. The video install is a huge advantage; although takes some time, it’s a 5 star for me! Highly recommended. I’ll buy again. ... show more

  • I'm giving it a 4/5 rating, but with caveats - PLEASE READ
Size: For PS4 Slim Pro Color: P4 Clicky Hair Trigger Kit
INSTALLATION It's not for the faint of heart. You will have to open up and disassemble the controller almost as much as it can be disassembled without removing soldered parts. The company does have a YouTube video that is more helpful than a simple manual for most intents and purposes, and the video is pretty clear, though it might require some pausing and careful scanning to be sure you are putting certain parts in there correctly. Overall, the scariest part is the first step of opening the controller, during which it really feels like you are going to break something. I've opened five different DS4s over the past couple of weeks, and it seems to be the case that you necessarily WILL snap a tiny bracket on the left-inside when you open it. After inspecting the bracket, I'm fairly certain that it is designed purposefully to break when open - maybe for warranty purposes on Sony's part, like to determine whether a controller has been tampered with when they receive a DS4 under warranty for repair. Perhaps they have some special tool that they use to open it without snapping this bracket. Either way, after using the prying tool for the first couple of controllers, I've found with the others (and in subsequent cases where I've reopened controllers I've already opened once) that it's much easier to just forcefully pull one end apart, and then the other. Especially since the prying tool itself takes a great deal of damage after being used once or twice. I tried to photograph the aforementioned bracket that breaks, but it's really tiny and difficult to capture clearly. You'll notice it if you look closely enough, but it won't make any difference in regards to anything. Just be sure to shake out any tiny bit of plastic that might be rolling around the inside of the controller before you reassemble it. THE MOD My biggest complaint about its design is that it's designed for all four shoulder/trigger buttons. If you're like me, you just want to address the pull range of the triggers (R2/L2) so as to make them shallow, and don't have any issues with the shoulder (R1/L1) buttons as they are, either in terms of depth or clickiness. This mod doesn't care. It's for all four buttons, and your shoulder buttons (R1/L1) will ALSO be shallower and more clicky after you fully install this mod. Additionally, if you've read other reviews and questions about this product, you might be aware of the concern of not being able to use both buttons on one side (R1/R2 or L1/L2) at the same time. I can verify that it is a bit of a concern. On both controllers I modded with this product, the L1 (or R1) button will not reliably depress when the L2 (or R2) is also being held down. Sometimes it will a little bit, and it's a little more reliable in that regard if you're pressing straight down on the L1/R1 button from the center/top while holding the corresponding shoulder button, as opposed to pressing the button on its side. It also, for some reason, seems to be more of an issue on the right side than the left. That being said, while there are issues with the shoulder buttons depressing while the corresponding trigger is being held down, the detection mostly seems to work. In other words, the button press is still being detected even if the shoulder button is not depressing. THE GOOD NEWS IN RESPONSE TO BOTH OF THOSE ISSUES I've found is that the simultaneous-press issue can be addressed, and doing so also addresses the first issue I mentioned of not wanting to mod the L1/R1 buttons. The solution is really simple, too: just don't attach the included clear pegs to the L1/R1 buttons. I was told in the questions section here on Amazon that it wouldn't work if it the mod is not fully applied, but it simply isn't true. After being annoyed with the issue of both buttons on one side not being able to depress simultaneously, I decided to pop one of my modded controllers open again and remove the pegs from L1 and R1. After that. I discovered that there was no loss of functionality whatsoever, and that the L1/R1 buttons were no longer as shallow as the mod had made them. And it also thoroughly addressed the issue of not being able to press the shoulder/trigger on one side simultaneously - all four can now be depressed simultaneously without any issues. After that discovery, I immediately removed the pegs from my other modded controller as well. CONCLUSION I liked it before I discovered that it can be installed without the shoulder (L1/R1) pegs inserted, and I love it now that I have made that discovery. I've used it with several games, and it's just fantastic with all of them. It's going to cripple you with games that require trigger sensitivity (mainly games that involve driving), but if you're looking at this product at all, you probably already knew that. If you want to play a racing game or GTA, you'll still want an unmodded controller for use with those. For everything else, if you're not attached to the feel of deep triggers or straight up dislike it, this is definitely a great solution. I'm taking one star off for the aforementioned defect and design choice, as well as for the unclear answers as far as addressing them, but really, if you just leave the R1/L2 pegs out of the mix, this mod should do exactly what you want it to do. ... show more

  • Triggers worked remap kit was missing pieces!
Size: For PS5 BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: P5 BDM-010 BDM-020 Tactile Clicky Hair T...
I got the rise 2.0 and the hair trigger kit for my controller. I spent an 1 1/2 hrs installing the triggers. I then move on to the kit. I get to the part where you plug in the controller to the strip on the battery. The first issue arrived, the bdm 020 slot was missing the bar to hold down the cable. I figure I'm 3 hrs into installing extremerate products I would keep going with the install and tape the cable down since the clip was missing. Finally after 3 1/2 hrs of installing the triggers and rise 2.0 kit I was to the part where you plug in the rise 2.0 board. Well same issue the cable tie down part was missing rendering the entire remap kit useless! How this company gets away with charging so much money for junk products is unreal! How do they send out a kit that's missing the black flip up/down cable strap! Their quality control is horrible. And I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck spending even more money to fix their mistake. I can already tell just by bad this kit was I'm dealing with a crap company that won't do anything to replace. I'll have to look into the return policy if I can't get the board replacement... do yourself a favor and run away, get a tomsin for 1/2 the price that has turbo features as well as 4 paddles. Had I known about tomsin before extremerate I probably would have gone that route since I'm $80 into extremerate and have a controller that just has buttons that doesn't work.. If I could do it all over I'd yet the dulesence edge ... show more
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2023 by I spent 2 hours trying to install the rise 2.0 in my ps5 bdm 020 controller. The first issue was the part that sticks to the battery was missing the latch cable hold down part. I figured no big deal I'd tape it and moved on with the install. I got to the final part of plugging in the back board which also was missing the latch part. Over all 2 small clips in 2 different spots is ridiculous. For the price they ask their products should be top quality for what they are. Now I have to order more parts for something that should have worked the first time smh. Stay far away from this company!

  • PS5 2mm Pull Triggers = Excellent Gaming
So it took me some getting used to but after a few days to about a few weeks it was a major improvement. I wonder why Sony does not have this done at the manufacture since it would help gaming players be better players. All I know it has improved my shooting ability since I don’t have to pull the trigger as far. It’s definitely a blessing for the PS5 controllers. BTW it does not work on some controller triggers so you may have to buy after market triggers or buy a damaged non working remote for parts. Just so you know! I had a remote that the parts worked with and one that the parts did not work with. Kinda sucks if you have the wrong triggers (L2 & R2). ... show more
