The faceplate fits the Elite II controller perfectly. It has no rubber grip but that's not an issue, it just means there's nothing to peel up and the back half of the shell still has its grip. The original faceplate peels along the narrow grip section that leads up to the bumpers and creates weak points that break because the plastic is thinner under there. Feels like a new controller. I'm a sucker for transparent electronics and these is no exception. The shade of green gives that OG Xbox vibe and the silver screws inside pop nicely under the faceplate. It looks great and feels quality in the hand, with just the right amount of texture, despite being smooth plastic (it has a matte or frosted feel that is a little bit slippery, as opposed to the tacky feel of glossy plastic.) The hardest part of installation is getting the stock faceplate off. Once you do that I recommend just removing the adhesive so any future repairs or modifications will go much easier. I love ExtremeRate's shells, their clear plastic adds so much character to whatever device you're swapping. While this faceplate is absolutely gorgeous, it is quite brittle and some of clips have a tendency to break off if you need to take the face off again. The faceplate will stay on without some of these, but if they break while putting it on, the part that comes off might rattle around in the controller. Superglue sometimes helps with reattached the broken pieces, but it's not as strong as from the factory. ... show more

I bought a few different plates from this company and this one is by far my favorite. It pops, it looks just like it does in the photos, couldn't imagine this with LEDs in it. The bumpers are also from the same company and look very well done.

Thanks to the design of the elite series 2 controller, there are no screws to hassle with, simply pry off your original cover and snap this one in place. I used a blue elite controller which, to me, makes the plate look even better. There are a few pieces that need to be attached first, but nothing that requires tools. Just look at the original plate and you can see how everything goes into place. I would recommend watching a YouTube video just to see how to take off the cover, If you don’t want to damage it. The faceplate also comes with black guard rings for the thumb sticks but I chose to use the original blue ones that were on the controller plate. Overall the controller looks great and the plastic doesn’t feel cheap. It’s a great piece to give your controller a different look. ... show more

Was excited to get my clear green replacement shell for my xbox elite series 2 core controller. As a side note if you order one of the to replace the new white core elite controller the boards are attached to each other and make taking the controller apart very hard. Be careful or you will end up bricking your controller. While the faceplate looked amazing and fit nicely it took two orders to get what I actually ordered. The first one I was sent said clear green on the outside sticker but was clear purple. I also ordered the thumb sticks, buttons, bumpers and triggers in clear green. The bumpers did not fit my core controller and the center button wasn't in the box , so my controller is all clear green except that button which is still white. ... show more

I bought this clear faceplate to swap out my stock elite faceplate that had rubber grips peeling off. The fit ok this was good but not perfect. I wanted to pull the faceplate off and check to see if anything needed to be adjusted since some of the buttons weren’t pressing smoothly. In the process, several clips that hold the faceplate to the controller broke off. If you plan on using this faceplate, put it on right the first time and don’t plan on taking it off. ... show more
