We needed some expo markers as my son is starting kindergarten. We only needed 10 this year but he needed more in the coming years so we figured we get this pack because it was cheaper than buying at Wal-Mart or Target. Since we got so many we started practicing using this at home so he gets used to them when he attends school. We like this these ones because at 5 years old it was easier for him to hold and write with. These are low order which is ideal given his age. Also, they erase pretty easy off the white board. Second grade teacher requested a stash of Expo dry erase markers for classroom use. Of course I had to pick up the Low Odor option. These are what i use at home for kids to mark up their white boards. Black is bold, the tip is easy to write letters and numbers. And most importantly, low odor. Works for a classroom. These were purchased for a classroom setting so students can work out problems 'by hand' without needing to use paper and pencil. The markers erase cleanly from the surface of the desk plastic and the nibs thus far have been robust enough. In my experience though, expo markers, while nice, do not last as long as they used to. Nib quality has changed and the ink isn't as saturated not lasts as long. I still have some of the OG markers that reek but they still write like new. Despite the decline in quality, they are still better than most dry erase markers. I still need to give Pilot V board ones a try, but they lack variety of colors and nib sizes. ... show more
