The mat is of good quality material. I disliked that it came folded up and vacuum packed plastic. This has caused deep ceases in the mat. The small size fits my small treadmill. It's smaller than the treadmills at the gym. But it's big enough for grown adults to use. The mat is a little thin, but it didn't rip or anything and it's been moved several times and rearranged. No ripping or anything and mine came rolled not folded.
