The glass is thick and withstands chips, scratches and getting bonked around, and the simple design is timeless and attractive. The tall ones are about 1.75 cups capacity to the brim, and the short ones are about 1.25 cups. They clean well in the dishwasher, and unlike other cups they don't get as much of a pool of water in the base when upside down because it is relatively flat.
