These are great tights for dance, or if your child prefers footless tights under dresses. They are EXTREMELY TIGHT in the waist!! I ordered size 11-13 for my slim daughter who’s 4’9” and weighs 70 lbs, and they dug into her waist. I’d size up 2 sizes from your usual size. I’m using these for my 5 yr old! I ordered this thinking that it would look like tights underneath the skirt which my daughter wears in the winter all the time. That is not what this looks like. To me, it looks like she put on an oversized swimsuit and is terribly unflattering. She was not happy the second she put them on as the fabric is very inexpensive and sags on her very athletic (not thin) to legs. It's shiny and thin and without a doubt and not flattering. This was definitely not for us but it came with no holes and looked like it would hold up.
