I have gone thru at least 5 different versions of snow/roof rakes over my 73 years and I have finally found the last one I'll ever need. I received it today and within an hour I was outside using it. Fantastic product. Went around the entire house including my portable tarp type canopy and it works great. Love the foam blade material on the tarp. No worries with tearing or ripping it. I highly recommend this product. The only thing I might do is add a lock screw where it threads onto the pole. It came loose a couple times but NO big deal. Still love it. Thanks again. Dan

Size: Snow Broom Head (No Pole)
This little scraper works great! I used it today on our solar panels which had about a foot of snow on them. I was able to both push and pull on the snow, depending on where I was able to reach it. I just wish I had bought it earlier when the snow first started to fly. This will definitely help us get through the winter and make more solar energy.

I purchased this product to clear some ground mounted solar panels. In previous years, I've cleaned the bottom 2 panels with a car brush, and the rest usually slid soon after. But for some reason, that is not happening this year. This is light, and the telescoping feature is easy to use and sturdy. The hand grips are nice. On my 4 wide by 5 high panel array, this item can't reach the top panel. But it does a decent job of clearing the rest. The weight and foam material make it easy to use without damaging the panels. One drawback is that the foam brush is getting nicked, mostly from the connecting hardware between panels. I'm seeing flakes of the foam on the solar panels (micro plastic litter), as well as nicks in the foam brush. And this is after a few uses. My guess is that the foam brush will need to be replaced possibly every year or 2. And the micro plastic waste is disturbing. I subtracted a star for this (and considered subtracting 2 stars). But the product otherwise works as advertised.

We purchased this roof rake primarily to clear the roof of a large cargo trailer and also a canvas temporary building, but we have found it useful on the house roof too. We ended up having to shovel part of the house twice this winter which can be very dangerous. We found that if you position yourself safely on the ridge the roof rake can be used to push the snow off on all sides without you having to put yourself in an awkward spot and without risk of damaging shingles. The design of the head makes it useful for both pushing and pulling snow. The head appears to have been molded to the frame in a way that will last well. The telescoping latches on the handle are much sturdier than those old push pin types. You can lock the handle in any position which means that you can reinforce the lightest tube by fastening the handle mid way. Don't get me wrong, you could destroy this thing if you misused it. Because it is telescoping, the lightest tube ends up taking the most bend pressure near the head. So be aware of physics and protect your investment by managing your handle set up. We would recommend this rake to anyone who has a ot of snow to move in a variety of roof situations. We expect things to be built to last and this rake has exceeded our expectations.

Solidly built. Pole has metal screw tip not cheap plastic. Extensions are built in and slide easily and allow adjusting anywhere from minimum to maximum length. Great buy. Should last years.

I would have to say that this isn’t something easy to use. Like others have said, when using it, the foam scraper head twists off easy so you have to constantly stop and re-twist the foam scraper back on. The first time we used it to scrape the snow off our solar panels, the extender bracket made of plastic broke and we had to tape the extension rods together to try and finish the job. We gave up in the end as the tape wasn’t working and the extension almost got stuck on the roof. Not sure how we will fix it. We haven’t talked with the support people yet. Working with this, we did find it pushed snow better than it pulled it off the solar panels. Due to the length and size of the foam scraper, it was taking for ever to get the snow off the solar panels. Our roof isn’t that big as we only have a 1 story, 2 bedroom house but the length didn’t get to the top of the roof even standing on a ladder so we had to just leave some of the solar panels full of snow. All in all, if you have solar panels on the ground and easy to access, this is a good product. If you are trying to get the snow off your solar panels on a house roof, you might need to find a more sturdy product.
