The jumper cables are plenty long, which apparently is often not the case with other emergency roadside kits. We've already found ourselves using the first aid kit, too. Sometimes, having a AAA membership and a cell phone stull just isn't enough. In true emergency situations, it's best to be prepared. I bought two of these emergency kits for my wife and myself. Ideally, we won't need to rely on them, but I feel very confident they'd come in handy should an unfortunate event arise. This relatively lightweight and compact emergency kit has everything one might need in most common situations. Each item is high quality and easy to use. It covers a lot of bases without being too much to root through. All in all, this is a great addition to any vehicle.     • A solid set if supplies in this kit
When I got the kit I completely dismantled it to see what was in there and what quality it was. One item I always see listed as "junk/useless" are the scissors in the first aid kit. Not these. A solid set of blunt tip shears that seem to be quite sharp. The First Aid kit has all the basics plus some safety pins which also look to be of good construction. The triangle reflector had some heft to it and locked together securely. I have no doubt this would stand up to the wind of passing vehicles. Jumper Cables are the same gauge I use from my other kit without issue. I have not tried the compressor, but it is good to know it is there for that neglected spare that need a few psi in a pinch. The gloves and poncho are a nice extra touch as wheels are dirty and emergencies don't always happen in sunny weather. I will probably add a couple basic tools to the kit and also a tire pressure gauge. I keep one in the car anyway, might as well keep it all together. I hope I never need anything in this kit but better to have an not need than the other way around. ... show more
