    • They work as advertised and are very bright. Remember to buy a flasher relay if installing these on a motorcycle.
If buying for a motorcycle, specifically the Kawasaki KLR650, you will need to buy a 2 pin flasher relay to replace the relay behind the right side of your gas tank(can be accessed by taking the side cover and right-side radiator cover off, no need to remove the gas tank) The lights look homemade, using old style bulb fittings and fitting them with circuit boards and led's. Haven't had a chance to test them all yet, but the one I did test is really bright, equal to my halogen turn signals. I'm using them to cut wattage down so the turn signals don't stress the battery or stator while using heated gear or my cig-lighter outlet. Not sure on the life of these bulbs, but as of right now, I like them. If they prove to be worthy, I'll be fitting these in my car and other motorcycles. The quality looks excellent for a homemade product, thick circuit boards, none are loose. Lights are as bright as halogen turn signal bulbs, but use 75%+ less wattage to run. Bulbs were sent in an envelope, but I would prefer these types of items be sent in a well-padded box. So for now, I'll put these at a 5 star rating for brightness, ease of installation, and quality. I got these to replace some running lights on a truck that has red lenses, the are so bright that the lights look pink, not un happy with the quality by all means, I ordered the red ones to replace these so the lights look red, will use these somewhere else!

Had these for two years, brightness is good. Color is more yellow than amber. Fitment may be an issue as the flat circular lip was too large for a BMW e39 socket to turn & lock in place. One bulb also broke from the socket during removal & had to pry out the socket.

    • LEDs failed after very little use

I purchased these 1157 LED bulbs in red and amber for a vintage car. After very little use, they have failed in a way I would not have expected for LEDs. I took the car on a drive today and I noticed that my gauge lights came on when I pressed the brake pedal. I also did another test where I turned on the turn signal on one side and saw some bleed through on the other. I also saw the gauge lights come on with the turn signals. When I disconnect the front and rear bulbs on one side, the gauges did not light up with the turn signal. I bench tested the voltage with a power supply and a voltmeter. Sure enough I could measure the voltage on the other terminal for the bulb. I would definitely not recommend these bulbs. ... show more

I wanted to decrease the battery draw while the parking lights were on, and I had to put these on the Hyundai Elantra. While in the parking light mode, these draw ~0.015A, meaning around 0.2W, while the regular bulb draws 5-8W, depending on the type. So these draw a LOT less, while the brightness is about the same. The brake light mode draws 0.14A, so around 1.7W, but for some reason it doesn't look a lot brighter than parking. It is a bit brighter, but not a lot more (not 8x). One thing I did notice, is that when you press on the brake, and trigger the brake element on, the parking lights get a bit of voltage as well, and that illuminates the back light on my shifter. No biggie, but I thought I'd mention it. UPDATE: OK, I took them out of the car. I mentioned earlier that pressing on the brakes illuminates some of the backlights? well, apparently the reverse is also true: when you turn on the headlights, or parking lights, apparently that sends a little bit of current into the circuit that operates the brake lights. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, however, if you want to use cruise control at night (or whenever you have your headlights on), you're outta luck. The computer will think that you're pressing on the brakes (because there is voltage in that circuit when the lights are on) and won't allow the cruise control to engage. I also realized that pressing on the brakes illuminates the dashboard backlights, as if the parking lights were on. Long story short, these are going back to the seller. If anyone knows about bulbs that don't share the LEDs between parking and brake mode, lemme know. ... show more

My red tail light lens are starting to bleach out its color. These red lamps change the playing field. This package of four lamps cost less than 25% of the cost of one new lens cover. I have four lens covers on the back of my motorhome. Thank You EverBright!
