Frequently asked questions

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a hybrid stroller/wagon that offers the ability to push or pull the stroller, 2 kids riding options, all-terrain wheels, an adjustable handle, a large storage basket, and an easy, compact fold. It also features a 3-point harness for safety, and a protective canopy against elements.

While the Pivot Xplore is designed for two children, it's recommended they be at least 6 months of age. This is because the stroller wagon does not recline flat to accommodate young babies who cannot sit upright unassisted. Always use the safety harnesses when your child is in the stroller.

Yes, the Pivot Xplore is an all-terrain stroller wagon. It's equipped with durable, all-terrain tires that can comfortably handle grass, gravel, and uneven sidewalks, making it optimal for both city walks and park adventures.

The Pivot Xplore has a maximum weight limit of 120 pounds or around 55 kilograms. Each seat can safely accommodate a child up to 55 pounds, meaning you can safely use it for two kids as long as the combined weight does not exceed the limit.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

This Stroller Wagon is highly recommended by users, thanks to its convenient and versatile design, which is reportedly loved by both toddlers and pets. Customers appreciated the wagon for its comfort, spaciousness, snack tray, and convertible push-pull handle. However, some found it a bit heavy and pinpointed a few design flaws, such as difficulties in cleaning the foot well, problems with the canopy system, and lack of a cargo cover.

Pros

  • 🙂 Easy for children to climb into with the tilt feature and foot space cutout.
  • 😊 Converts easily between push and pull modes, making it versatile for different terrains.
  • 👍 Equipped with individual snack trays, UV canopies, and waist restraint belts for both seats.
  • 💕 Suitable for both toddlers and pets.
  • 👌 Provides a smooth ride on various terrains, including parks, beaches, and neighborhoods.

Cons

  • 😕 The wagon is on the heavier side, making it slightly cumbersome to move around.
  • 🙁 The snack trays are hard to clean, particularly of food crumbs.
  • 😒 The canopy system has a few flaws, such as incomplete coverage and lack of locking system.
  • 😔 There is no way to close off the foot cutout for children to lie flat in the wagon.

Should I Buy It?

Despite a few design issues, the wagon offers a plethora of helpful features that seem to delight both parents and children. Most users express a high level of satisfaction with the product, which implies that it will be a great choice for active families with young kids or owners with aging pets. Moreover, it’s indicated that this wagon offers great value for money compared to others in the market. Therefore, it seems to be a wise investment for potential buyers.

  • Love it so far! Just big!
Style: Pivot Xplore Dreamz Color: Jetsetter Black
So this stroller seems very sturdy and well made. I love the look and feel. There is more than enough space for my 2 and 4 year olds and our little 9lb dog could also probably fit in there to be honest. I read this stroller was an easy set up so I timed how long it took me to go through the directions and put it together. It took 29 minutes which was not bad considering there was some minor areas that needed to be screwed etc. It came with everything you would need for that. Once I got it together I was in love. The only drawback is when you break it down it’s very easy to open it back up again where it’s not flat. It doesn’t lock into its folded position so if you move it or touch the handle, it’s going to open back up a little bit and lock into place so you’ll have to push the sides to break it down again so this already big product won’t be even bigger. This brings me to my other drawback. This stroller is huge. I have inserted a picture of it in my trunk. I have a 2023 Kia Seltos and it takes up the entirety of the trunk and pushes against the door a little. The basket, tray, and bassinet attachments I placed under the trunk floor within the spare tire storage space and it fit there fine. I am debating on whether or not I should leave it in the trunk or bring it in the house when I know I’m not going to be using it just because of how big it is. I wouldn’t consider it heavy and I just drug to the car by the handle, but for me personally because I live in apartment, I can see it getting annoying bringing it up and down just because I need trunk space. I’ll have to figure that out. Still not taking stars away for that. I read that it was big and still got it because it was my stroller of choice after doing a lot of research. I guess I just need a bigger car now lol! Anyway, I recommend! ... show more

  • Prefer the Xplore over the duoglider
Style: Pivot Xplore Color: Ranger Green
Nice looking sporty stroller wagon! I got it on lightning sale for $239.99 plus tax, which was a steal! I haven't taken it outside yet, but tried it in the house and the push is smooth and easy to maneuver. I originally got the Graco duoglider tandem double stroller but it felt more difficult to turn and maneuver once my toddler was in the front seat. I took pictures of them side by side and they are similar in height due to the Xplore handle bar not being adjustable. However, the Xplore feels less bulky than the duoglider overall. The Xplore is wider than the duoglider by maybe an inch due to the back wheels, but it doesn't seem that much of a difference. I will say that the duoglider felt heavier to me with more bars for it to collapse and the Xplore was just a touch lighter to me. The Xplore is similar depth when collapsed, but can actually fold flatter if you turn the front wheels inward, but then it wouldn't stand upright anymore. The wheels seem easy enough to remove if you're limited in space. Duoglider wheels are difficult to remove. The wheels on the Xplore are much better quality than the plastic like material of the duoglider. I got this for our 2 yo and my 2 month old for our flight later this month and plan to gate check it on Southwest. I didn't buy the infant seat holder right now, but I propped up my Chicco Keyfit 30 in it in the front and in the back of the stroller and it feels comprable to when you put your car seat in the shopping cart on the tail end but actually a bit more secure on the Xplore han the shopping cart. I wouldn't go over bumps with the infant car seat propped like this but feels secure enough for us to take through the airport. My 2 yo fits comfortably and actually loves sitting in it to watch TV right now too. I will plan to update this review after our trip to see how it goes. **Update 7 months later. Worked great through the airport! Gate checked without an issue on Southwest. Had someone ask us about the wagon at the airport and was interested in it for their kids as well. The setup with my infant in the Chicco Key fit 30 car seat worked well for our trip. I did baby wear my infant on and off the plane and gate check to the car seat after our initial flight. The wheels worked well when we went to the park and pushed easily over mulch and gravel. It's easier to pull this in sand rather than push it but it was manageable for short distances. I just had my husband hold the car seat while I pulled from the front since we didn't secure it anyway. Of note, the sun covers do not secure very well and my toddler was able to pull it off very easily. Did not stay on during gate check as well, which was a hassle. We just ended up pulling them off and not using it. You will need to either rent a van or SUV to be able to get the Xplore in the trunk plus luggage as it does take up a good amount of trunk space. Overall, we have been pleased with this purchase and it has been very handy for our now two and a half and 8-month-old. ... show more

  • Amazing Purchase!
Style: Pivot Xplore Color: Wayfarer Black
The only thing I regret is not buying it sooner. I absolutely love this wagon. So much that with my second, I never used any other type of stroller. I had the infant attachment seat before six months or so and could strap in my older daughter, it was amazing. We live on 10 acres and we walk around the trails with it. I’m sure there are better “all terrain” wagons but for its compact size, handle height adjustment as well as being able to switch to pull mode, there has been no trail I haven’t been able to maneuver through. We are upgrading to a 4 seater with our third on the way and I’m actually sad to make the transition. I wish they had a 4 seater option! The fold is super easy, the opening takes some getting used to but still not a problem to do yourself. It’s not bulky or heavy to lift in the car and fits in the back of my truck with the tunnel cover lovely. You also don’t have to dissemble anything to fold, which is nice! For cleaning, easy to spray down with a hose. My kids love the snack tray and we utilize the cup holder and basket for every use. It is easy to push, easy breaks to lock, it has been a life saver. With two little kids and one who was a runner when she was younger, it’s nice to have something to keep them contained but still allows them to see as well as easy to get them in and out. We take it everywhere, camping, parks, beaches (although the tires aren’t beach tires, we make it work), we love it! ... show more
