I have both the red grapefruit and grape colors. My favorite is the grape—it looks a little too purple and unnatural in the swatch/example photos which scared me when I ordered it, but in person it’s much more natural. Imagine the lip stains you sometimes get when you drink a dark red wine. It’s gorgeous and great for the fall/winter seasons :) The formula itself is great. It’s long lasting, transfer proof, and fades in a very natural way that gives you a subtle lip lining effect. It is slightly drying, but every watery stain formula is, and it’s less drying than other formulas I’ve tried. The texture really is like water, make sure you wipe off the felt tip thoroughly before you apply it or it’ll drip. One thing I will say is lip prep is paramount. If you have patches of dry, dead skin on your lips the pigment will cling to them and look patchy. I use a lip mask at night, but even so I have to use a damp washcloth to exfoliate my lips beforehand. In my experience this happens with all watery stains, so if your lips are stubbornly dry I’d go with more of a gel or gloss formula. It’s a HUGE amount of product given how little you actually use. This stuff is amazing. I vape and eat and this stuff stays put. It's as thin as water, but incredibly pigmented. It's a good size bottle that's going to last forever. Feels great on the lips, and isn't drying. It functions as described. It's a very durable stain.

Super pigmented and long lasting. I would recommend you apply a little on a fluffy brush and blot into the cheeks otherwise sometimes it stains heavier on the place it’s applied to and can look blotchy and can’t fix it. Also eating it will stain you fingers if you use them to apply. But it’s a great product and will last forever because you only need a tiny bit. ... show more

    • Great, but there's a learning curve

I bought #4, red grapefruit ade. It smells strongly of synthetic grape, kind of like the way grape medicine tastes. It does dissipate quickly though. This scent may bother some people though. The product itself is pretty good, but there's definitely a learning curve. It's VERY liquidy, it has the same consistency as water. I would recommend following the steps for application that are detailed in the listing. Make sure to wipe all the excess product out of the doe-foot applicator so there's only a small amount when you apply. This product bleeds A LOT. I swear it ran into lines around my bottom lip that I didn't even know existed. Start from the inner part of your mouth and work outwards slowly. I apply a little bit to the middle of my bottom lip and then pat my lips together to spread it out. I repeat this process a couple times. Try to stay away from the edge of your lip, because if you apply it directly there the product will bleed. I find that this is only a problem for my bottom lip though and not the top. I'd also suggest not trying to layer on a bunch of product, because then it'll look patchy. This is great if you prefer light makeup or "no makeup-makeup" looks. Update: the longer I use it for, the less I like it. I've gotten great at applying an even looking initial application, but the biggest problem is that this product has no lasting power. And when it starts coming off, it gets really patchy. I find myself constantly having to reapply it throughout the day. Because of that I'm going to lower my review to 3 stars. I think it's simply too difficult to use. I'm going to finish the one that I have, but I won't be repurchasing. I probably wouldn't recommend this product to anyone either. It's disappointing because it's a very trendy and popular product, but I think there are better lip tints out there. ... show more

It’s last all day for me, dries quick and doesn’t stain cups, collars etc. :D Does leave a bit of dryness after application but colorless chapstick on top takes care of that. This is literally my everyday blush i use it over makeup or whenever i wear no makeup and it just gives me a natural no makeup look. it stays on all day and can be used on the lips..it gives my lips a plump look especially with lip gloss over it. I love the fact that this comes with such a low price for a TRIO. It's such a strong cherry pigment- I was able to slowly build up the coverage. A little really does go such a long way with these. It's smudge proof, it lasts for my entire day. I've gone an entire day of wear with this product especially with a lip biting habit. It just holds up wonderfully on my cheeks as well. I'd reccomend moisturizing the area prior to application, just for the best possible results. This does not alleviate dry lips or skin from my experience. It literally smells like artificial cherries if that's up your alley. The smell does fade away close to an hour after application. The color isn't the closest to benetint. I might try and mix one of these with the grape ade to see if it leaves me with a darker red. ... show more
