I purchased this to use as a lip stain. I was very pleased at the amount of pigment and the red shade I chose, which is beautiful. Once applied the stain does last a long time. I also decided to try it on my cheeks and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. First of all, a tiny bit goes a long way. I started out with two small dots and then blended outward. You can use more and build for more color. Very easy to blend, too. Perfect for days when you want fewer steps to your makeup routine. I like that it is long lasting, sheer yet buildable, and a flattering color (I got it in sweet potato and I have fair skin). I use it under other products and on its own to lend more color to my lips. This is just a stain and is not moisturizing so, I put some kind of balm on top usually. Since it is a stain, lip oils placed placed on top for moisture will hinder its staying power. It smells exactly like grape hubba bubba gum but, I don't think it lasts for long after application. This stain doesn't have any noticeable flavor after it sets either. Overall I think its a good price for what it is and for how little I need to use each application. ... show more

Far less drying and longer-lasting than most other lip stains I’ve used. I’ve tried the sweet potato, kumquat, and fig shades so far, and been very pleased with each. There’s definitely some slight wear in the center when eating/drinking, but the durability is better than just about any other stain I’ve used. And SO MUCH less drying - always need to be diligent with the balm with stains, but my lips still feel soft for hours after application. Pleasant subtle fruity fragrance and taste, no awful florals on your lips. Overall, these are the most comparable I’ve ever found to my all-time fave (but sadly discontinued) Peri Pera water tints from years ago. I only wish there were a few warmer darker tones akin to the Dracula red, but this line has a nice variety of bright reds. ... show more

This product did NOT stained lips. It was however a beautiful shade and was hydrating. It Also has a pleasant taste with no smell. Disappointed it didn't stain lips as that is why I bought it!!

I love this gel stain so much! It went on evenly, feels velvety smooth, and stayed put all night. Didn't require much touch-up except the corners and didn't bleed as some other stains have. The color is a deep, rich maraschino cherry red in person and is the perfect alternative I've been needing for my favorite Besame Cherry Red lipstick. I love my Besame but don't always have the patience to deal with the constant touchups and paranoia I encounter with traditional lipsticks. I really want a stain that STAINS and stays on my lips without much maintenance. This was prob one of the better/best lip ones I've used. It's better and longer lasting than many high end products (looking at you fenty poutcicle), and more saturated than I was expecting. I got the shade Dracula Red and it went on as a bold fuchsia/red that faded to a nice deep rose over time. Not too much for everyday wear in my opinion. The consistency is really light and watery, and dries down to feel like almost nothing. Gloss/balm over top doesn't take it off, and it lasted through eating and drinking. My only complaint is it does fade over the day and look a little spotty (my center lip fades faster than the edges), but it fades nicely and reapplies easily. I'd like more color variety as looks like most are similar pink/red shades and I'd love a brighter orange, coral, hot pink. I will prob get another though - for the price it can't be beat! ... show more

This color is too orange for me. It is cute, and lasts, but I can't wear this color. I think a lot of people will find this shade difficult to wear. It stains a bit unevenly, but not a deal breaker.
