I ordered the dress with the bell sleeves. I wear 2X clothes, 18 pant, 40DDD/ 42DD bust and the size 3X fit best. The 4X was a little more relaxed but the bust area was too loose. The 3X fits better in the bust, it's not tight, but I have a tummy so I personally would wear a body suit with it. I have bigger arms, but the sleeves fit comfortably, however, if you have a lot of loose skin on your arms, then they might be too tight. The lace is not stretchy, so it's a little tight across the shoulders, but not so much that I couldn't still bend my arms or hug someone. I purchased this dress for my civil wedding ceremony. It is a very soft material, very comfortable, did not itch or pull at my skin. I did size up just in case and it was the right decision, I am usually a size 18-20, ordered this dress in 3x and it fit perfectly. I gave it 4 stars because the material is very thin (though NOT see-through) and gets caught easily if you walk too close to anything. For example, it got caught in the zipper of my bag. Also, it has a useless zipper bellow the right arm, which can get caught in the sleeve and make it fray if you're not careful. I ended up having someone tuck the end of the zipper (the thing you use to pull the zipper closed) into the inside and it worked, it stop getting caught and did not poke my skin at all. All in all, it's a very pretty and comfortable dress. Not the highest quality ever, you do need to take good care of it when wearing it, but it did serve its purpose perfectly and my family and friends all loved it. ... show more

Love this dress! Wore it for my bridal shower and received many compliments. It even has pockets, so that’s a plus. The fabric is stretchy and isn’t itchy. I will be wearing this again for sure.

I wasn't very convinced when I saw the picture of the dress on the model, but I decided to give it a try. The dress is a perfect fit, it shows the bust in a flattering manner, you can put it on back or front, it is identical on both sides and it is well made. I have been wearing it a few times (I live in Florida, where it is very hot right now) and I never felt uncomfortable of sweaty from wearing it. Love it. This dress is very flattering for a fuller, hourglass figure. It was fitted at the top, and then loose to graze over lower belly bulge. I’m shorter but loved the length, a few inches above the ankle. After reading other reviews I saw to size up, which I did. I definitely needed the extra size in the sleeve. My regular size would have fit, but the lace sleeve looks better a little loose in my opinion (not like a sausage). Upsizing a size worked for me, as it will be worn in warm weather so it’s very breathable. I plan to add a wide ribbon/sash/belt, which will make it even more flattering. And oh.... it has pockets!! ... show more

Update - I ordered another one a size down and it came as pictured - not sure if the one I ordered was a fluke or what. Luckily Amazon has a great return policy :) The dress does run big - normally I’m a 16/18 and the 4x fits like a pretty solid 18. This dress was shipped super fast and is absolutely beautiful in person but it is FLOOR LENGTH. Not as pictured at ALL on the bottom. Sleeves are a bit loose but the lace is very stretchy and not scratchy at all. I will be taking this to a tailor so that I can get the sleeves tightened and the hem raised about 2 1/2 feet because it's comfortable and really lovely on but, as is, it looks like I am going to a funeral in the 1890s not to a cocktail party. ... show more

The fabric is stretchy so I wouldn't get a size up. I measured and I still needed to go a size down. The lining is soft and the fabric is good quality. The dress was just too large and I was swimming in it
