It annoys me when sellers claim a dress is a maxi when it's not. Typically, maxi length is ankle length on the average wearer (average, not giant). I'm 5'2 and the dress was mid shin on me (hence, midi). Since I hate the hassle of returns, I kept the dress and cut it at one of the tiers and wear it as an off the shoulder top. I've received lots of compliments. The lavendar is really pretty (true lavendar) and the pleats turn an otherwise basic look into something a little more fun/snazzy. The top stays off the shoulders and can also be worn on the shoulders. Roomy and stretchy. It's lined midway up. I'm a size 6/8 with a 36 F chest and the Medium fits perfectly. Last Monday, my boyfriend let me know that we had a wedding to attend the following Wednesday and that we needed to wear light blue. Did he have details on where the wedding was (inside/outside)? No. Did he have details about what time of day? No. Did he know what shade of blue (sky, baby, teal, UNC, turquoise)? No. All he knew is he was asked to be the best man for a friend's elopement and to make sure I had something to wear. A panic then ensued to find the right dress in the right color that would be delivered in time. I looked at local quick options, Target, Walmart, and Old Navy, and found nothing that would work. Then I found this gem. It was delivered to my door three hours before the wedding. I was praying it would fit ok, not be see-through, and would be easy to steam and de-wrinkle. The Hail Mary dress ended up being PERFECT for this waterside, park popup wedding and I'll definitely be wearing it again. I never write reviews but this is an amazing dress. I purchased for a wedding. This was so affordable and you get a good quality formal dress. Size wise, I normally wear XL dress and I got a M and L. Large fits perfect not too baggy. I would size down one size if you are in between the two. Stretch: it is elastic at the shoulders and does not ride up. Does not cut into arms. Great fit. Around stomach area, perfect if you want to be comfy at an event without having to show too much figure. (Even if you size down). Length: I am 5’4 and it fit like a midi dress. I really like this dress. The only reason it’s not a 5 is because it wrinkles VERY easily and when you steam it, it loses some of the purposeful folds. But it fit nicely, really comfortable, and got a lot of compliments!

I got the ice blue in a Small. I’m 5’6” and usually a size 6. It fit great, plus there’s lots of room and stretch if needed. I danced in it and never once had to worry about it being see-through or the top elastic loosening. Got quite a few compliments. I steam ironed it when it arrived from Amazon, and then rolled it up to pack it for a plane ride. I hung it up when we arrived, and it was wrinkle free. The fabric and design of the dress is exactly as pictured. Very beautiful dress for almost any occasion. I thought it ran larger than the size chart and that’s the only reason I returned it. Larger hips and smaller bust was my problem.
