This is THE BEST mascara I’ve ever used! I have short lashes that grow straight out so it’s really hard to see them naturally. Other mascaras that claim to curl and lengthen have NEVER worked for me. They all just clump my lashes together with no curl at all. THIS mascara curls and lengthens my lashes with just one coat! It goes on in thin, natural looking layers. It’s beautiful with one application, it’s STUNNING with 2+ layers. My lashes have never looked so long and have never held a curl like they do with this mascara. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and my lashes still look great at the end of the day. There is very minimal to no flaking and washes off easily. I can purchase 5 of these before ONE name brand mascara, AND look like an instagram baddie. Pros Lifts the lashes Gives a natural look Inexpensive Doesn’t make my eyes water Lightweight Buildable Quick dry Safe on sensitive skin Cons Not waterproof Does wear off after 8+ hours, so you will need to either recurl the lash’s or add another coat after the workday. it has a subtle smell that I’m not favorable of. Not overwhelming but I’ve had mascara smell like vanilla before, this smells like chemicals. I’d recommend buying extra spoolies so you can get an even coat, and even a lash curler so you can really add some curl. I have tried multiple mascaras. Expensive, fancy, drug store, low cost, and the Essence Lash Princess Mascara is great. It does not clump, it does not glob in the tube or on the wand. The wand is shaped perfectly for my entire lash line unlike other brands that have too skinny of a wand or too fat and arched. The washable Essence mascara does not smear, run or flake and is easy on my eyes when washing off at the end of the day. I do not have any irritation with this product. My lashes extend and look youthful giving me a bright fresh eye. I recommend trying the Essence mascara - they offer a full line variety. My regular mascara, that makes my lashes look long and stand out, that doesn't smudge or flake or disappear after two hours, is L'Oreal Telescopic Original ($11 at nearly every drugstore or big box store near me). I'm generally happy with it, although I notice that about two months after I open it, the formula seems to age and it does tend to flake, at which point I just toss the tube and buy another one, and you should probably do that every three months anyway. But I'd read rave reviews for Lash Princess, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I will not be raving about it. If it works for you, it works for you and that's great, and it's so cheap that you probably should try it even if it doesn't work; at least then you'll know. It does coat and lengthen my lashes, which are of average length, decent thickness, but STRAIGHTTTTT and won't hold a curl even when I try all the tricks (and trust me, I've tried a lotta tricks: heating the lash curler, moving the curler successively up the lashes, starting near the lash line, wiggling the mascara wand, powdering the lashes before curling, applying mascara before curling, using waterproof mascara, lining the upper waterline...). That is, mascara sometimes lengthens my lashes but doesn't "lift" them so that you can see my lashes when I'm looking straight ahead. Several other generally well-regarded drugstore mascaras have this effect, that you can only see my lashes clearly when I'm looking down. The lashes won't hold a curl. That's likely what's behind the lackluster performance of Lash Princess FOR ME. This product is just meh, barely better than no mascara at all, and I'll stick with my Telescopic Original, thanks. ... show more
