  • Best Coffee Ever
Makes great coffee. Wait for the kettle to get to 190 and pour and you have the best coffee. The filters and the seal work perfect, absolutely no grounds in the coffee.

  • A mechanical work of art
After I gradually developed the methodology to use this French press, which replaced a Bodum Java, I judge this Espro P5 press to be a mechanical work of art. The two filters are surprisingly easy to clean and greatly reduce the grit and grounds that get into the final beverage. I get a deeply-flavored, smooth coffee out of the press. It's easy to disassemble and clean as you'll probably be able to "spin" the dual filters off of the steel stem, which is kind of fun in itself, then "spin" them back on after cleaning. This press is one of most satisfying purchases I've ever made. ... show more

  • Harder to clean than my 1 cup
I really liked the flavor. But it was much messier to clean. The plunger action kept a lot of liquid trapped, which was messy in the trash. I switched back to my regular 1 cup Bodum for everyday use. But I break this out when I have company.

  • Can't make just one cup
I really wanted to make one cup most of the time. Description never said so I took a chance. No problem with returning

  • Over engineered.
A basic French press filter does the same job, without all the extra components to clean. This resulted in cleaner coffee but you may as well use a paper filter if you are that worried about it. This is a very nice product, but I returned it for something more simple and easy to clean.

  • Well itโ€™s obvious by now, itโ€™s the best press in the world
Been using this for couple years now and hasnโ€™t needed any filter replacement or parts. So easy to clean. Works really good with all kinds of tea leaves from around the world too.

  • Great coffee maker. You'll pay for it, but it's worth it
This is a really good French Press. Prior to this, I had used one from Bodum. I really liked it overall, but I had a fair amount of grinds slip past the filter. No problems with that for the Espro. The double filter really does make a difference! Taste is great, I feel like most french presses will taste close, so for me the difference maker is the lack of grinds that make it past the filter. ... show more

  • This French press is the BEST!
The silicone edge to the actual press keeps the grounds and sludge out of your coffee! No other press does that. You do need to be careful with metal objects using the glass canister. I stir my grounds with a plastic chopstick. However, I did get the metal can that my ground beans load into too close to the canister, tapping it to get all the grounds out. After doing that for about 2 weeks, the canister did crack. I replaced it and am very careful about not getting the metal too close now. Totally my fault! I can't say enough about how much I am enjoying my coffee now. ... show more
