THIS IS A VERY POORLY MADE MACHINE. 1. It is very light and unstable. When you try to lock the portafilter in place the whole machine tips over and slides around 2. The Portafilter DOES NOT LOCK IN PLACE. It seems to be a defect or design flaw but you really have to put a lot of pressure to try and get the portafilter in place. This is really impossible due to the issue above 3. The portafilter is CHEAP. The handle is plastic and putting any decent amount of pressure on the handle to try and lock it makes it feel like it is about to snap 4. Parts of the portafilter are plastic and look like they will break in a short amount of time. 5. There is no locking ring or mechanism to hold the portafilter basket in place. When you try to bang out the puck the WHOLE basket comes flying out of the portafilter 6. The basket itself has a bad design. The bottom of the basket has a single whole creating a space that can not be cleaned between the filter of the basket and the bottom where the espresso flows into the bottom of the portafilter (see picture) 7. The PLASTIC scoop/tamper that comes with the unit is a JOKE. It's plastic so it feels like it can break at any moment 8. The tamper does NOT FIT into the basket properly and leaves a large gap around the edge of the basket (see picture) 9. The steam wand control knob I found DIFFICULT to use, the settings do not seem to affect the steam amount 10. Using the hot water setting is USELESS. The water pulses out at high pressure and splashes everywhere, as opposed to a steady stream of water that fills a cup In summary, I wish Amazon had a ZERO star rating. I would not recommend this machine based on my experience. I gave this unit time to see if it was me or the machine. I tried my best to make this machine work for me. Unfortunately, I passed the return window doing everything I could to make the best of this machine so now I am stuck with it. I refuse to give it away or even pass it to someone else it is such a bad machine. I would not want the negative karma to come back and get me for knowingly giving this bad of a machine to someone.

(1) funnel very hard to twist & lock - {I’m an espresso machine veteran } Took full body strength to lock in place . (2) takes couple tries to get machine to pressurize & brew . (3) flavor is just mediocre. This was a replacement for my beloved Italian made machine. Was trying to save some coins . Big mistake. Flavor doesn’t compare . Retuning. I’m sad . I really wanted to love it ☹️.

I like how this espresso maker warms up quickly. I’ve been cutting some Keurig pods open and using that ground coffee. It’s just the right amount , when tamped down. Keep in mind that the metal device that holds the ground coffee (I’m sure there is a word for it) must be pushed all the way to the right until you feel the metal stop. The 2nd time I used this espresso maker, I only barely had it seated and it popped out, broke my cup and made a great mess in my kitchen. My fault, I know. Get the coffee ground holder thing seated properly.

Muy confuso para que inicie cualquier procedimiento ya sea preparar el cafe o calentar la leche, tarda mucho y no hace los 2 procedimientos a la vez, así que cuando termino de calentar la leche ya el café está frío y o lo contrario cuando termino de hacer el café ya la leche está fría. 3. The unit works but is NOT a USA made product as indicated by the description that the company is US…still made cheaply in China and it works like it. One indication is the bad grammar in the instructions. The box also has that is is made in China. It does brew espresso. I do like the pressurized portafilter. I’m pretty sure it’s not 20 millibars of pressure but it is adequate to producing the crema. The auto shut off is set to about double the water for a standard 1 & 2 shot espresso and I couldn’t get the adjustment to work. Some good features but I don’t think worth the $149 price tag. I know the good espresso makers are much more and I’d like to find one in this price range or slightly more. I’ll keep looking.

This is my first model for this brand as my old one finally died after about 2 years of problem free continuous use. I really like the new model as it can make 2 cups instead of the 1 and the display and control buttons are large and easy to read. I also like the see through window on the back of the machine so you can more easily see how full the water reservoir is. The machine makes the coffee really good. And the machine is easy to use. Good quality at a good price.

I really like this espresso machine , makes it easy to clean only one piece to clean , i have just one little issue i think it uses too much water than i'm drinking because i'm continually feeling it up is that possible ? maybe in the process of making bubbles i'm losing some water somewhere? however it's fast in making the coffee and thats what i was looking for , thank you i like it why the 5 stars rating
