The media could not be loaded. Received this after a short period of waiting (longer than most items). It came from China on the China post where we could track generically. Arrived later than it was expected. Upon unboxing discovered damage to the item. Initially the outside had some buckled frames in the slight metal frame. The inside box was bolted into the bottom so not sure how it received such damage unless it was placed in there damaged. Lid doesn’t open and close correctly. Box for the top doesn’t sit flat due to damage and wobbles back and forth like a broken table leg bottom at a greasy spoon diner. Also, this is a very slightly built model which would probably serve well for a beauticians tool box or a motorcycle repair tool chest- or even art supplies. It isn’t really built to handle any major equipment and won’t take much ‘shop work’ before it wears out. It is fancy red though. Pretty ornate. Have submitted a request to return (it’s nearly 50 pounds in total) but have to request and then wait on the seller. I will update when I receive. Update: Seller was friendly and helpful. Sent a sticker for return and refunded completely. We did our best to reproduce the packing and returned in original box. Very satisfied with the return. ... show more

This is a perfect toolbox for a child 16 and under. It's large enough to hold the basic wrench, pliers, ratchet/socket, and screwdriver sets needed to work on bicycles, skateboards, and maybe even lawnmowers. I wanted a toolbox replace the one I've had in my bedroom for 20 years, which my roommate's dog knocked over and damaged. This little toolbox looks good from afar, but I'm telling you, it's tiny. That's my right hand in the picture spanning the distance between the top and bottom drawers of the top toolbox. It literally looks like a toy. But it's a damn fine toy. I don't know what's happened in previous reviews, but they packed this thing in such a way that it can't get damaged in transit unless somebody stabs something through the side of the box. Mine arrived in perfect condition with all the parts included. It doesn't take a genius to put casters and a cabinet shelf on, and two screws for the little side screwdriver rack, so the idiots that had problems with the "instructions" were simply idiots. There's literally three things to do on this toolbox before it's ready for use. The red wrinkle finish is beautiful, but I would put a little grease on the drawer runners before use. I am so tempted to send this thing back, but I look at it, and it's so beautiful. I mean, how many tools do I need for my bedroom? And it was $160. So I'm thinking, whatever; I'll just keep it. Finding it wasn't that easy, so I think finding one to directly replace my old one that's damaged is going to be very tough. In the meantime, the toy box is a good compromise. ... show more

    • Regrets, I've had a few...

And buying this tool box is one of them, especially when I could have had a very similar American made box for a similar price had I done a little more shopping around. To start: The assembly instructions are poor and unclear. The metal is flimsy and weak. Simply removing it from the packaging caused one of the rivet nuts to tear away from its mount leaving the metal torn and the mounting point unusable. The operation of the box is wildly disappointing: The drawer slides are cheap, there is no track or gutter for the "garage" style doors to run smoothly on, it's metal against metal which will wear very soon and for whatever reason, the top has to remain open for the drawers to be used on the upper storage box. I'm just a jack of all trades that does work around the house and on my cars, I wasn't expecting Snap-On Quality, nor was I expecting pop cans and bailing wire. If you need a place to store craft stuff or a place to put dild@s and handcuffs in your sex dungeon, this might work out for you. If you need a place to store tools and home project extras, get something else. ... show more
