This is a perfect toolbox for a child 16 and under. It's large enough to hold the basic wrench, pliers, ratchet/socket, and screwdriver sets needed to work on bicycles, skateboards, and maybe even lawnmowers. I wanted a toolbox replace the one I've had in my bedroom for 20 years, which my roommate's dog knocked over and damaged. This little toolbox looks good from afar, but I'm telling you, it's tiny. That's my right hand in the picture spanning the distance between the top and bottom drawers of the top toolbox. It literally looks like a toy. But it's a damn fine toy. I don't know what's happened in previous reviews, but they packed this thing in such a way that it can't get damaged in transit unless somebody stabs something through the side of the box. Mine arrived in perfect condition with all the parts included. It doesn't take a genius to put casters and a cabinet shelf on, and two screws for the little side screwdriver rack, so the idiots that had problems with the "instructions" were simply idiots. There's literally three things to do on this toolbox before it's ready for use. The red wrinkle finish is beautiful, but I would put a little grease on the drawer runners before use. I am so tempted to send this thing back, but I look at it, and it's so beautiful. I mean, how many tools do I need for my bedroom? And it was $160. So I'm thinking, whatever; I'll just keep it. Finding it wasn't that easy, so I think finding one to directly replace my old one that's damaged is going to be very tough. In the meantime, the toy box is a good compromise. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Received this after a short period of waiting (longer than most items). It came from China on the China post where we could track generically. Arrived later than it was expected. Upon unboxing discovered damage to the item. Initially the outside had some buckled frames in the slight metal frame. The inside box was bolted into the bottom so not sure how it received such damage unless it was placed in there damaged. Lid doesn’t open and close correctly. Box for the top doesn’t sit flat due to damage and wobbles back and forth like a broken table leg bottom at a greasy spoon diner. Also, this is a very slightly built model which would probably serve well for a beauticians tool box or a motorcycle repair tool chest- or even art supplies. It isn’t really built to handle any major equipment and won’t take much ‘shop work’ before it wears out. It is fancy red though. Pretty ornate. Have submitted a request to return (it’s nearly 50 pounds in total) but have to request and then wait on the seller. I will update when I receive. Update: Seller was friendly and helpful. Sent a sticker for return and refunded completely. We did our best to reproduce the packing and returned in original box. Very satisfied with the return. ... show more

This little puppy is deceiving on the photos. Yes, it does have measurements and yes I knew what I was getting into. Just beware that the photos make it seem like it’s a big unit. As far as quality? It’s not very sturdy. It’s kind of wobbly at first but once you fill it up it feels more sturdy. I have it for my around the house projects. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you are working full time with tools. It’s just a little tool box for a novice user. Other than that, works great for my intent. ... show more

The tool chest arrived quickly and even though the box was a little beat up, none of the parts were damaged as they were packed very well. Assembly was not bad at all (I had my reservations after reading some of the reviews). As some have mentioned, if you want to be able to open the top drawers without opening the top hatch you need to make a small modification. There is a flat ruler-shaped piece which slides up and down when you open and close the top hatch. All you have to do is push out the pin holding this flat piece to the hatch lid. I used an old nail and a hammer to drift the pin out and then removed the flat locking piece. For my application ... show more

I expected it to be small, but it’s short by a few inches in all three dimensions than I expected. However, it was damage free and I really think they upgraded the shipping packaging since the other reviews complaining about the damage.     • Good cheap toolbox, but dented
It does what I wanted to do, it wasn't hard to put together, and it looks pretty good. The only problem is there were dents all over it. Manufacturing, handling, I don't know. It was kind of cheesy. I would have given it four or five stars except for that.

I was thinking I had selected the deeper drawers but I was wrong. That aside it's not bad for what you pay for. The bottom storage could be a bit deeper, but the make up of the body is sturdy enough for what I do have in there. Assembly was easy, just bolt on the casters.
