    • Easy Setup and Use

I bought this All-In-One printer to replace an old HP All-in-one printer that failed after 12 years of expensive use. The setup, including filling ink wells and adjusting the print heads (automated process) took 15 minutes after unpacking the printer. Setup uses a walkthrough automated process that is easy for non-technical users, but you must collect the printer serial number and your wifi network name and network password for this process. Print quality is much improved and I use the 2-sided print often and was happy to see how the page sizing is automatically calculated and looks great. Could not be happier. I should note that I chose this. printer after going to Consumerreports.org and reading over 30 reviews and talking to firends. The Brother All-in-One printer was a very close 2nd choice and $10 cheaper. This printer prefers Alexa over Seri for voice controls, but these aren’t needed for Apple users like myself. There is an Espon app you can download from the Apple that I added to my phones and iPads. Nothing needed for my Mac. ... show more

    • Worst printer I have ever had

I bought this printer because I liked the ink tank refill feature. But soon after I started using this printer, I started having problems. Every page printed came out with a subtle vertical indentation going down the middle of each page. I spent about 3 hours total on the phone with Epson customer service, which included multiple hang ups on their end, multiple reps asking the same questions, multiple requests for pictures, and basically making me jump through hoops to prove that I was not lying. Ultimately all they could offer me was a refurbished unit. I felt that was unfair since the issue was obviously a manufacturer defect. In addition to that issue, the printing quality was often poor; there would be thin horizontal white lines going through my pages. Even after I would clean the print heads (sometimes 4-5 times in a row), I could still see the white lines a bit. These white lines became more and more obvious, and finally permanent. I did a couple "power cleanings", which ate up most of my ink and did not help. For peace of mind, I have decided not to contact Epson again and get a used replacement (which will probably have its own set of problems). So after only having this printer for a year and a half, I am trashing it. What a waste of money ($385 + ink) and time. I will never purchase another Epson product. ... show more
