I've never used an epilator before, but I've had threading done on large sections of my body before and honestly, I think this hurt less than threading did. I know my technique is lacking as I often caught myself speeding up, pressing down too hard, and/or not holding the epilator tool at exactly 90 degrees from my skin, which I think contributed to why it would take me many passes on an area before all the hair got plucked out. However, it was taking less passes by the time I got to my second leg so I'm sure this will keep improving as I get more practice at it. It wasn't an unpleasant processes and I am quite happy with my smooth legs. They are a little red, but that is to be expected and was mentioned in the instruction manual. I did stop and clean out the epilator a couple of times during this session epilating both legs from my ankles to my knees, but I'm also a pretty hairy person so not everyone will need to brush it out as often as I did. I'm sorry to share a gross picture of my epilator covered in hair, but I wanted to show that this tool really is plucking the hair, not just cutting it. You can see the little root at the end of the hairs. Also, this will show you that the epilator does not catch all the hair, quite a bit does get flung around, something to keep in mind when picking where to sit while you use your epilator. Also, DO NOT USE THIS IN THE SHOWER (while it's running water anyways). The instruction manual mentions several times that this tool should NOT get wet and only to rinse the tweezer head (not the main body) under water. The product page is a little confusing on this matter since it says "Waterproof design allows both dry and wet use! Washable design makes maintenance no longer trouble, simply clean attachments under warm water," but the accompanying picture also has text that reads "Main Body can't be immersed" This arrived mostly charged, but the box says that it takes 3 hours to charge for an operating time of 60 minutes. It did come with a USB-C to USB cord for charging as well as the little brush to clean hair out of the epilator. I don't have any experience with other epilators so I can't compare how loud it is, but I think it's pretty similar to the electric shavers I've used, maybe a tiny bit louder, but I don't think it's an unreasonable amount of noise. ... show more

I’m really excited about this epilator. I have fairly thin body hair and tend to get ingrown hairs especially in my arm pits. This epilator has two speeds, and cleaning brush for the device, a charging cable, and arrived in a really nice box that I will keep for storing the epilator when I’m not using it. It works very quickly and very well. It isn’t painless but if you do a small patch every day to get used to it you will certainly be happy with the results. Shaving is a hassle in the shower, I like that I can use this epilator anywhere. I’ve been keeping it at my home computer desk and use it for a few patches on my legs and armpits while I’m watching TV. My skin hasn’t had any ill reactions to it beyond the expected redness from having the hairs pulled out. I haven’t used it on any facial hair yet because I have to work up the courage first. In my opinion the $25 price tag is more than fair for a well-built device, reusable storage box, clear instructions, and a reliable hair remover device. ... show more

The box this comes in says on the front in bright silver letters "DEFEATHERING SHAVE WOOL IMPLEMENT." So good thing I have been epilating for 15 years and know what they are and how they work because...what. Overall, this is a cheap epilator and you get what you pay for. My 10 year old Braun Epil-5 (or something) is still better than this brand new thing. Pros: - Rechargeable and runs for long enough on a full charge to epilate both legs (if you are fast). - Inexpensive - Does pluck hairs Cons: - Awful to clean. No way to take the top off and get the hair out - Plastic - Does not pluck hair as fast or as well as other, admittedly slightly more expensive models I have used over the years ... show more

I liked that this epilator was compact and pretty much the same size as my name brand one. I really needed a new epilator so I got this to replace my other one. I do like that this one is cordless and rechargeable. It came with a cord and a small brush to clean it. It also has a clear cover on the epilating part. It was very easy to use and I specifically did not shave my pits so I can review this item lol. The color is also really cute and even the box was pretty. So as I mentioned, I used this on my pits and the hairs were pretty long. When I used it on the max speed ( I usually use the max speed on my old one too) it was kinda bouncing on and off my skin and I'm thinking it was because the hair was so long. It is easy to clean, but it was also a bit annoying since the static kept making the hairs stick on to the product itself (I attached a pic). I wouldn't say this is a high quality epilator, but it does get the job done and it's pretty basic and simple to use hence 4 stars at best. My other epilator wasn't rechargeable.     • EPILATOR = A BUNCH of TWEEZER’S
COMPACT but not too small. For those not familiar with an epilator, this is typically a row of TWEEZERS. Each “tweezer” will electronically remove your hairs from the root. This one in particular, effectively removes hair fast. Make sure to grow it out enough, instead of shaving it. It will not work on super short hair. All in all, it’s a great device to have. Especially if you want your hair to grow back slower. It also helps remove that dark shadow from under the arms, due to removing the hairs from the root.
