My review for this item would be much higher if the clamps weren't the biggest pain in the butt I've ever dealt with. I wouldn't think it would be hard to make a functioning c-clamp, but this product proved me wrong. If one of the clamps hadn't been functional, I definitely would have filed for a refund for this. The other clamp took an extreme amount of force to tighten at all. I tried to figure out if it was just crooked and that was why it was so difficult to turn, but I couldn't. Ultimately, I wasn't able to tighten so that it would be sturdy on the back of my desk, so only one side is holding the tray on. The tray itself is also flimsy. I have a power strip in the tray, and when I plug things into it, the tray will bend like plastic unless it's supported from underneath. The only nice thing I can say about it is that it does the bare minimum of holding my cords. For what this item is, I don't think it was particularly cheap, so I think a lot needs to be improved. If this wasn't like the only cable tray in white that I could find, I probably wouldn't have paid the price for this one at all, as there were many in black that were cheaper. Unless you just really need this one, buy a different one. If you do get this one, be prepared for serious flaws. ... show more

Works as expected. Very happy with the purchase. I did put a couple of small felt pads on the top of the clamps to protect my desk. I plan to purchase a second one.

The box came opened and it looked like it was gently used. You can see the marks were the screws were placed- which I didn’t mine because it was still in great condition. However, if I were to buy a used product then I shouldn’t have to pay a “new” price. The main issue I have with this is the screw on one of the clamp was on so tight that I was not able to adjust to fit my desk. ... show more

    • Turn the knobs until they are just wider than your desk before trying to attach

This thing is great. You can flip the bottom piece in either direction. The knobs are tight but I just turned them before trying to attach everything so I should get some torque. Then once on the desk it was only a half turn to tighten everything. Power supply and other junk off the floor!
