  • Makita XWT11Z Clone
Pretty decent clone of the Makita xwt11z. Open mine up to find that the switch is an Omron similar to the Makita. Bearings are c&u and and hammer and anvil looks well finished. The "brain box" is all potted in an aluminum case. The controller is different than makita in that there's 4 level of power and there's a second switch to turn off the auto stop in reverse. Makita only has 3 power levels and one switch. They did cheap out on the LED but that's a minor thing. Mine was torquey on the first setting. Took my 90 lb-ft lugnuts off without issue on the lowest power setting. I was using a Makita 5 Ah battery. Hope this helps some people make a decision. Good buy in my opinion for home use. ... show more

  • *Updated* Pretty good after all
I've warmed up to this impact wrench. It now has a place in my tool box. I can already tell I'm going to be using it several times a year. I'll admit that I didn't want to like it at first. It felt like it was under powered and wasn't working right. It wasn't breaking nuts free like I expected. I contacted Enegitech and asked about returns. After several back-and-forth messages they sent a replacement. The replacement works better. It does work on the lug nuts of my car. It will definitely break loose and unfasten lug nuts at 80 ft/lbs. It will also break loose nuts tightened more, it just needs some patience and lots of little bursts to get it going. It can also tighten to almost 60-70 ft/lbs. That's not bad for a little electric guy. I used a torque wrench to verify. I appreciate Enegitech customer service for patiently working with me and getting me going. I feel comfortable giving this tool a thumbs up. If you're looking for an impact wrench but the price tag of other name brand impact wrenches seem steep, this one is up for the job. ... show more

  • So far so good. Will re review in 6 months
I just got it in the mail today, so far Im very impressed. All I use is makita cordless tools and Love them but said Ill try this guy! It takes off lugnuts from cars and light trucks like 1500 or s10 size. Didnt remove the lugs from my 3500 1 ton truck but I didnt expect it to. So far so good. Used it on a job tonight for a bunch of things and I love it. Compact like the makita 1/4" impact driver but the 1/2"square socket drive is awesome! The auto off on reverse is annoying for real tight bolts, but it helps when removing all of your smaller fasteners not letting them go flying in the air if youve got bad trigger control! Great deal! I will do another review in 6 months or sooner if it breaks... But so far I like it! ... show more

  • Killer budget medium duty 1/2" impact for makita batts! Takes a bit of effort to crack my lug nuts
Don't like the trigger delay but everything else is awesome for the cost especially! Great size and weight. Balance feels nice and it's fairly strong. Overall I like it but really can't use it for lighter duty stuff. Tried installing stock sidesteps on a 16yr old 4runner without cleaning rust out of the holes and it snapped my 12mm bolts on accident lol. Did it by hand on remaining bolts with pb blaster and slowly threading in and out. Had it a few months I use my 1/4" makita more as I do mostly light work. Pulling out 14mm seat bolts ect is a joke with this lol barely pull the trigger and they're out. So when playing with stuff like that not even a thought this is my goto. No multi trigger job on the 1/4" makita this thing effortlessly does medium duty stuff. Can't do light unless you wanna destroy stuff imo lol. Heavier you can but imo torque lugs with bar after to be safe. Don't need to make the news for killing ourselves or others for being lazy. ... show more

  • better than i hoped it would be
i bought this impact gun because it works with my makita batteries and is much cheaper than the makita tool. quality is up to the makita at least in outword apearance and also performance. changed the rear brakes on my one ton ford van and it removed the lug nuts much quicker and easier than my air impact does. if you have makita 18v tools don' t hesitate to buy this tool. ... show more

  • Great impact for the money!
Seems well made, Makita batteries fit perfectly. This gun does remove lug nuts but does take about 3 seconds to get them moving. Not as strong as my Aircat air gun but you can't beat the portability of this thing. For the money I have no regrets and it is pretty powerful for the price point. Overall great addition to my power tool collection, and I'll get a lot of use out of it for as long as it lasts. ... show more

  • You can rotate your tires
Pretty good tool for the money. Is it as good as Makita? Time will tell, it appears to be built well. Keep in mind, this is rated at about 250 ft lbs. It will work to remove most wheel lug nuts. A good air impact tool starts at about 600ft lbs. If the tire store cross threads or over torques the lug nuts. this probably won't break them loose. ... show more
