  • Durable and nice
Color: Black 20 Size: XX-Large
These are great. Most of these kind of shoe covers fall apart quite quickly but this one is standing the test of time. Only problem I had was one of the zippers broke off within the first 2 weeks but the company was super fast about sending me a new pair within 3 days. Don't waste your money on the cheaper ones cause you're gonna have to buy these eventually when the others fall apart. ... show more

  • Strong and durable but hopefully you have super skinny feet and ankles!
I do prefer these to silly little toe covers. I wear a 7.5 womens and ordered a medium—size chart shows I could get small. Anyway, lengthwise they may be slightly big but no big deal. The big issue is they are super difficult to get on! I have three pairs of cycling shoes and can only get them on one pair. And the only reason I can get them on that pair is that I can put them partially on an then only have to adjust the Velcro nearest to my ankle, not at the toes. But then it’s a struggle from there...I can’t get them zipped up or patched because they are too small! I measured my ankle vs my husbands, who would wear a medium based on the size chart...and his ankles are definitely bigger than mine so it’s not just having big ankles. So why so many stars then? Well, I forgot to return them, and so on a rainy/snowy day I decided to give them a spin. I just left the ankles open because I couldn’t get them closed. I’ve used them twice now. My feet are warmer and dry. And the Kevlar is super durable. They are sturdy. I do feel like they will actually hold up a while, unlike the silly little flimsy tie covers I got (though the tie covers actually fit lol). Anyway another point is as a commuter I do do some walking and so forth with these on and 45+ miles of riding and some sidewalk walking these are holding up. So I would say if you have super skinny feet and ankles these would be a great product! ... show more

  • good overshoes
I've been using various iterations of this product for several years. they tend to only last 2 seasons for me as the bottoms get chewed up pretty bad eventually, although the final failure is the zippers. But I seem to have bad luck with zippers on all of my clothing and items so YMMV. Other than that they do a great job of keeping your feet warm and protecting your shoes. Nothing will keep your feet dry forever (actually I've heard gore-tex socks are good) but the nice thing about these booties is ever after a soaking they keep your feet warm. Make sure and order them larger than you think, I am only size 10.5 but I use the XXL version to fit over my bulky Shimano ME7 cycling shoes. ... show more

  • Get your booties
Color: Black 19 Size: Large
These are my second pair of the same winter booties. I left my last pair in a hotel room, and was super bummed. Had to buy a new pair before winter. I love these shoe covers since they are super durable for commuting and warm enough to ride down to below freezing. I’ve also been stuck in the rain a number of times, and that is when they really do their best work. I wouldn’t suggest these on days that aren’t truly chilly or wet, but same goes for a jacket. This is true cycling gear for when the going gets tough. That said, if you are going to ride in the nasty stuff, best to buy from a company that specializes in it. The material and stitching is extra durable. I noticed the review with the broken zipper, and that surprises me given the extra reinforcement on the inside and outside of the bottoms of the zipper. I took a photo to show. I will say, this is neoprene type material, not spandex, so it won’t stretch endlessly. If you are a large, don’t go all Tommy Boy and try to squeeze into a medium. Probably also good advice for your spandex, if we are being honest. No one wants to see that. I also want to call out the rubber toes. If you are commuting like me, that means stop lights, walking, door kicking, etc. It’s nice to have some extra protection so you aren’t constantly burning through toes. In closing, this is the go-to product for keeping your toes warm. ... show more

  • Sizing Review and Initial Ride in Temperature About 19 F
I have Giro Rumble bike shoes, size 8.75 US Men's (42 EU). I ordered these covers in size Medium, and the sizing guide seems accurate: size 9 would definitely be the limit for these. I was a bit worried when they arrived because they looked much smaller than the shoe. However with some effort and a little practice they go on pretty easy. Only thing is... I would say the proper way to stretch them on is to get the toe all the way in first, then be sure to pull the heel on by grabbing/pulling from in/around the base of the heel below the zipper. It was tempting at first to grab hold of the sides along the zipper and pull, but I fear that could wrench too hard on the base of the zipper and risk damaging it. So far I have only taken these out on one test ride in about 19 degrees fahrenheit. It was a short ride, perhaps 20 minutes. They kept my feet sufficiently warm. I wore warm wool socks, and loosened up the laces of my shoes a bit so things wouldn't be too tight. At the end of my ride the only somewhat cold spot was the bottom/sole area, probably due to the 'heatsink' effect of the metal cleats. For future rides I might try to better insulate that cleat area using some tape beneath the shoe liner. Otherwise these block the wind great and make a vented summer shoe feasible for winter riding. ... show more

  • runs small for x-alp canyon
Color: Black 19 Size: Large
I've had a pair of these for over a decade and they work superbly. The zipper finally blew out on one so I ordered a new pair. The new pair is the same size as the old pair (large), but the new pair is significantly smaller than the old pair. I have size 44 Pearl Izumi X-Alp Canyon shoes, and the new size large does not fit. I returned the large size and ordered the XL, so hopefully that will fit. ... show more

  • size chart is way off
Color: Black 20 Size: X-Large
Bought size XL for my US 12 (EU 46) cycling shoes That is what the chart says. But these booties are WAY too small. I have "touring" shoes with a little bit of tread. Maybe these are made for pure, no tread cycling shoes. They do look nice, so I want to try the XXL. But I am suspicious now, and will shop around some more. ... show more
