The table had pre fab holes that did not line up. I had to install new screws to hold it together. I was disappointed because I like the look and size of the table.

    • Good design, perfect size for my need, but that smell…
This is the almost perfect table for putting next to a chair or couch and using for storing small electronics , or other elements that require wall outlets or make use of USB-A. But it does have one critical flaw that may make it not for you. Building the table was fairly straightforward. All parts were included and even some spares in case you lost a screw or something. It is packed with a lot of styrofoam so be prepared with some large trash bags. Assembly took me about 30 minutes using hand tools. Once assembled it’s sturdy and although laminate looks pretty decent. I ended up liking the folding top design far more than I expected. I also liked the convenience of the outlets inside of the enclosed area which is one of its features. All the outlets and USB-A ports work just fine for me by the way. It also has some shelves underneath which as of this writing, I still have not had an application to use. I end up using the top compartment the most or its lovely folding top and it fits all that I need. The shelves are plenty sturdy and could house some shorter stacks of books or a few gadget boxes. As for the bad…while using this for the past couple of months though there are (2) issues I have removed a star for. The first and the biggest is the smell. I left the parts outside on first opening as the smell was so very strong. It has lessened significantly, but can still sometimes smell the “urethane” like odor. I would not be using this in a small office or space, and would not recommend it for such. I have washed it down with several different things and time is the only one that has had any impact. The other is the damping pads that the folding top rests on. After being closed for awhile the top tends to stick to the pads. I would expect a little bit of “stick” but I can almost pick the unit up with the amount of force required to open it sometimes, and will probably change them out with something else soon. Overall for my situation, this ended up being a perfect fit in a big room where I like to charge my laptop resting on the back and leave coffee and a remote on the front. It is just the right size and height next to a big chair I have. For the price I paid (around $70) it was a little expensive, but I could not find anything that fit in this space as well from my local stores so I will be keeping it. This was a little challenging to put together, especially with a little tension/arthritis in hands. Happy with the end result, just the size I need and love that it has a hideaway space to help rid of clutter.

    • Beautiful once assembled but cord is way too short
This took myself and my 10 year old (who wanted to help) 40minutes to assemble. If we'd had a drill with a Allen wrench attachment, we could have taken 15 minutes off assembly as most of the time you spend screwing in screws slowly. Also know that on a scale of 1-10, 10 being super handy, I'm probably a 5. And did I mention my 10 year old "helper"? If you're handy, with the right tools, this will take 15-20minutes max. All the parts seem high quality. ALL the sides are covered in veneer, not just the sides you can seenonce assembled. And all the tools are provided (though I will mention the downside to this in a bit). Also, there's a spare part for almost every piece of hardware. And the hardware is separated in baggies, labeled with a (hard to read) gold number. So organizational wise, this is fantastic!! Here's the bad part. You need 3 different screwdrivers/Allen wrenches (all provided!). Most of the work is done with the smaller allen wrench. But 2/3 of the way through, the Allen wrench had started smoothing and wasn't turning the screws well anymore. It's almost as though pilot holes weren't drilled very deep, screwing these screws in was HARD. We had to dig through tools to find one in my husband's stash that would work better as I don't have the hand strength to use the wrench in the other direction (holding the short end in my fingers). Butnsoo my husband's Allen wrench tip also began to smooth. These screws were not stripping, but they were ruining Allen wrenches! This was frustrating and took a lot of time. Actually, I still have a few screws not all the way in because we literally couldn't. The other bad part was that at least 1 pilot hole (for the little power strip screws) was not drilled very deep and took some muscle to push it through and screw it in. It just spun in place for my 10 year old, she wasn't strong enough to push it thru. Knowing this pilot hole wasn't much is was makes me wonder if that wasn't part of the problem with the longer screws, too. But once it's together, it's fantastic!! I love it! Well, I would change one thing. The cord isn't long at all. I needed an extension cord to reach an outlet. I was hoping this table would stop me from using extension cords for charging laptop & phones. But at least it's just one hidden extension cord, to plug in just the table. Everything else can plug into the table. Do note that the directions are super clear but you do want to pay attention to the direction of the straight metal poles. Just look at the picture closely, it's easy to overlook their direction. ... show more

    • Nice table, love that’s its longer than most end tables.
TLDR: This table overall is a decent end table, love the length and especially love all the storage. The inside storage is especially nice. Putting this piece together was a little harder bc some of the holes don’t line up, and the screws are definitely not durable. This table overall is a decent end table, love that it’s longer than most end tables instead of being bulky and huge at the same time. The inside storage is the best part bc I can hide so many of my art supplies etc out of view and keep my space looking nice and clean. I also love that the opening to the inside opens all the way bc it makes it easier to find everything. The charging station is definitely an extra plus as well! Makes it a lot easier to charge our watches and phones, but I will say the cord isn’t super long to reach outlets. Long enough but a little hard to find a place for in your room if you don’t have many outlets! My one complaint is that it was a bit hard to put together as some of the holes didn’t line up well at all. I definitely think the screws aren’t very durable either so I just hope this holds up over time! I don’t think you could move it a ton and not have one of the screws come loose! Other than that it’s a super nice edition to our living room and I love the extra storage and charging capabilities in general! ... show more
