This is a good deal compared to others. It is light but you can weight it down by adding some rocks in the cap on the bottom. It's one of the bigger ones I found online. I wish they had other styles.

The cap is as the other reviews state, fragile. If you are careful and use something wider than a screwdriver it helps. It didn't matter to me, as I intended to cut out the bottom panel anyway to use this as a wellhead cover, which worked perfectly. The pictures don't do it justice, it is actually nicer looking in person. Good quality resin plastic, too. The only reason I took off one star was that I had to file down where the mold seams were. It left a thin line of plastic behind. No big deal, maybe I got a Monday head or something. Still, I am exceptionally pleased with it! ... show more

Love these guys (got 2). Got the filler cap off by inserting a a closed medium-sized needle nose pliers into the bottom of the hole and popping the cap out. Don't pry the cap, pry the hole, the resin material is more pliable than the cap material.

The only fault I had with this item is how difficult it was to remove the cap on the bottom in order to add sand. It does not screw. It is difficult to pry off using fingers without injury. It requires brute force using tools such as a large screwdriver and chisel. Ridiculous design that should be improved. ... show more

Filler cap is complete garbage. Wrecked it trying to remove. The people that sell it should at least try it themselves before they send it. Nice if you don’t want to add weight worthless if you do.

I'm a bit of a Moai-snob, so when I say this is a great value, it is. Similar-sized statues can be $400-$500 from other companies. Granted, they make theirs out of resin, but this Moai is very heavy-duty high impact plastic. Here are some benefits of plastic. The color isn't painted. It's molded in color, so it will never flake off. Has a bit of 'give' if it gets bumped hard and won't crack. Lastly, this moai isn't completely open on the bottom. It has a circular hole with a plug, so you can weigh it down. I filled mine up with sand and rocks and it weighs about 200 pounds now. Not worried about it getting blown over or stolen.
